  1. Is there anyone who sells a conversion where I can use old 22" spokes with new 24.5" rims?
  2. I'm from Spartanburg. Drove up there last night expecting to drive it home today. I didn't get to do that, but at least I got to stop by the Spencer Truck Show! After about an hour myself and another mechanic were able to un-stick the Auxiliary. It was stuck in low split but shifts great now. Went for a test drive and the spring brakes locked up on my way back to the yard. I think I found the leak once I got back, but tires aren't road worthy. I've got till Monday to decide if I'm going to send a lowboy up there to pick her up. Not a bad rig. This B-80 has a 220 cummins in it. The owner says it was special ordered that way from the factory. Was this an option? If so, what's the advantage of it over a B-83?
  3. We just cut a deal and if everything is as good as it looks I'll pick her up next Saturday. Thanks Tim!
  4. Is anyone else having trouble reading this content? oldmacksrus.com is no longer a viable website and I would like to see engine horsepower numbers to compare a b87 vs a b61
  5. Looking to sale my lowboys (2) to buy a new one. One single axle 8 tires and one tandem 25ton. PM me if interested. Bwoolbr@clemson.edu

  7. We're in the middle of restoring a 1950 freuhauf stainless trailer... Does anyone know where I can buy reproduction freuhauf marker lights? They are rectangular with round glass lenses. I have pictures but cant figure out how to load them.
  8. Joseph's Equipment. He has some nice trucks, but has no desire to sell them. Most of them aren't even listed. http://www.truckpaper.com/dealers/detail.aspx?CID=2000763270 http://www.truckpaper.com/list/list.aspx?PCID=2000763270&dlr=1&etid=1&bcatid=27
  9. Yep. It was you. Parked with your trailer attached if I remember correctly. Nice truck. From http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/: General Applicability: The rules in 49 CFR Parts 390 – 399 are applicable to all employers, employees, and commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) which transport passengers in interstate commerce. (f) Exceptions. Unless otherwise specifically provided, the rules in this subchapter do not apply to— (3) The occasional transportation of personal property by individuals not for compensation nor in the furtherance of a commercial enterprise; FAQ: Question 21: Does the exemption in §390.3(f)(3) for the "occasional transportation of personal property by individuals not for compensation nor in the furtherance of a commercial enterprise" apply to persons who occasionally use CMVs to transport cars, boats, horses, etc., to races, tournaments, shows or similar events, even if prize money is offered at these events? Guidance: The exemption would apply to this kind of transportation, provided: (1) The underlying activities are not undertaken for profit, i.e., (a) prize money is declared as ordinary income for tax purposes, and ( the cost of the underlying activities is not deducted as a business expense for tax purposes; and, where relevant; (2) corporate sponsorship is not involved. Drivers must confer with their State of licensure to determine the licensing provisions to which they are subject.
  10. I live in South Carolina. Contrary to what I have always heard, the local DMV said anything over 26,001 GVW required a CDL regardless...
