  1. I don`t have a primer on the lift pump.
  2. $1.4 BILLION taken from FEMA to house illegals...WTF????
  3. No spin-on filters, one scraper and one cartridge(NAPA3390).Two tanks,I shut off the crossover and capped the vent on the feed tank.A local guy didn`t like the tank pressurizing, told me to loosen the injector inlet lines at the pump to bleed air while cranking the engine, and tighten them when fuel starts leaking past the fittings. Will try that tomorrow.
  4. Is that a swollen river or flood water where it`s normally dry?Unbelievable pictures coming out of Asheville.Violent weather,floods,wildfires...seems to be a steady increase.I hope you get help from the government... they have no problem giving away money to groups who never paid a dime in taxes.
  5. Has anyone ever tried to prime the fuel system by somehow creating a vacuum at the injection pump inlet hose? I`m not having any luck pressurizing the fuel tank.I`ve gone from 10 to 45 psi, after filling both filters.I don`t think there is any blockage in the tank..I can get fuel to the first filter inlet, but never any from the 2`nd filter outlet to the IP.At some point in it`s working cycle,is the lift pump "closed" to the fuel line from the tank? Could it be in the closed position from the last time I shut the engine off?
  6. Can the lift pump in an ENDT 673 ever be in a "closed" position? I`m trying to prime the system w/ 10 lb of air into the fuel tank, vent blocked.I have the inlet fitting at the injection pump open, but after 10 min of compressed air, still no fuel at the IP.I filled both fuel filters when installing, but that was 2 wks ago.Maybe the scraper filter before the lift pump drained back into the tank.Is it safe to use more than 10 lb of air.I can`t see that it would matter,if I leave that inlet open at the IP.Thanks.
  7. The S/P switch is eliminated, everything sees 12V,the parallel output of 2 pairs of 6V batteries.Starter and generator are 12V.
  8. I`m low tech...an old piece of tube w/ the valve and a hose clamp to seal it to the tank.
  9. It originally had a S/P switch and POS ground,now NEG ground w/ 12V starter.four 6V batteries,so plenty of amps.
  10. I don`t have a hand primer on my ENDT673,so am planning to use Bob`s method.Bob,how long do you keep pressure on that tank?
  11. Lol,hope it keeps working.
  12. I tapped on the solenoid and starter with a hammer and it`s cranking again.I`m thinking maybe the contacts in the solenoid are corroded or pitted.I`ll remove it and see what`s up when I get a chance.
  13. My lift pump doesn`t have a hand primer.I replaced lines and the cartridge in the secondary filter. Can I prime the system with air to the fuel tank without opening any lines going to the injection pump? Thanks.
  14. My starter is on the passenger side of the engine, but bending a wrench is a good idea, thanks.
  15. How the heck do you get to that hidden top bolt to take out the starter?I`m guessing it`s bad.I can hear the drive gear hitting the flywheel when I push the start button, but no cranking.Batteries are fully charged, cable connections are clean and tight.I have (4) 6 volt batteries feeding a 12 volt starter. It`s worked great for the 2 yrs I`ve owned the truck,a1961 B61.Thanks
  16. Sold quickly.
  17. There`s also a much bigger filter that takes 2 stacked cartridges. The filtered oil from that goes to the oil cooler. This is an ENDT673 engine.
  18. This is a small Luberfiner,272-C,holds 4 quarts.
  19. How important is the check valve on the inlet fitting of a Luberfiner oil filter? The end of the spring broke or became unattached from the fitting and I don`t see any way to get it reconnected ,or even how it was attached. Thanks.
  20. I`m ready to install 4 Aeroquip oil hoses on my ENDT 673.Should I use any Permatex on the threads,or not necessary? Thanks.
  21. Hi,I need hood lacing too.Could you post the source of the lacing and rivets? They`re a great finishing touch.Thank You.
  22. Is it possible to remove the fan and water pump as a unit, without removing the radiator, maybe loosening the shroud to get a little wiggle room for the fan blades?
  23. I`m not an accomplished mechanic like you guys.I`m out in the backyard standing on a Harbor Freight bench, leaning in w/ a 74 yo back.No way I`d get that out without punching a hole in the radiator.
  24. So that would mean pulling the radiator? Too much for me.
