I’m all for an experiment on this. Id suggest your bigger injectors, timing advance, and a slightly bigger turbo to feed your stock turbo. Then see what power it makes and for how long.

Most people don’t want these engines believe it or not just like the Detroit’s. They’re worth just as much in scrap as they are running. And if you can make a few grand more destroying it on YouTube then why not.

Then these guys should offer up some money for this engine so he can fund his e7 build.

Most likely you have a short, and that key button is an accessory switch that is powered with the key on and off.

💯, you hit the nail on the head…we hear more issues about these deleted trucks then we do stock. Also the issues we hear about with these deleted trucks is a lot of times catastrophic. None of these “programmers” are smarter than the engineers these big truck companies hired. These deletes have been going on since about 09-10 since the first emissions came out. The government/manufactures have got it bullet proof by now. Pay now or pay later. By the way the smoke in your vid looks blue to me so looks to be oil involved. If it’s white and I can’t see from the vid, then that’s usually low fuel pressure, low compression, or wayyyy over fueled. I think vmac is onto something though.

His newest Detroit destruction was about 2 months ago. It was pretty good. I will say for the beating he gives them the internals are still in pretty good shape when he tares them down.

Maybe I need to be on a computer to see it. You should start a YouTube channel. Make vid’s of your builds and maybe some how to vid’s. I would love to watch it. I could see you getting enough views/subscribers you would make some money.

Yea had mine before all this shit, this stuff all started to evolve about 5 years ago or so.

Also if you take it with a pintle hook then that’s all you get. Want fifth wheel have to take it in that. Also now you have to go to a trucking school and pay a lot of money.

Id suggest starting your own thread on this, however there is more than enough information on this topic. For now you may want to do a combustion gas test on the cooling system to verify and what direction next. It could be cups if not installed correctly, it could be egr cooler, or head gasket. Keep in mind that correctly refilling these newer trucks with coolant is very important, not to have any air pockets. They create hot spots and can burn out egr coolers very quickly.
