  1. I posted a diagram of the 7th injector for you in your other post in engine/transmission. However that is not your issue.
  2. Link doesn’t work for me Joey, maybe for others…?
  3. That’s why there’s forums like this haha
  4. Yea I know, they want most people to not have access to information so that they can’t touch it.
  5. Agreed so I make a habit of checking the procedure on truck portal. A lot of times there are updated parts and they don’t say anything about it
  6. They are garbage, they also have to placed in a correct way….I feel like most people don’t know that either. Which is Volvos fault for shit parts and lack of/hidden information.
  7. You won’t be getting a response from Mack Technician…unfortunately.
  8. Ahhhh now that you say that, that makes perfect sense!
  9. Especially in a dump truck
  10. There should be a law also put in place that if they’re going to continue to load these trucks with high dollar and high heat making parts (engine killers). Then they must be easy to access, change, and be affordable. A piece of shit/prone to failure VGT shouldn’t be 3k+.
  11. It was leaking all around but when I took it off, the bottom of the gasket was gone so you couldn’t see it. That half must have burned up to nothing because it was no where to be found. And yes I looked in the cooler to make sure it wasn’t in there haha.
  12. Just used soapy water once the truck was cold. With an exhaust leak that bad should be able to find quickly even at idle. Correct me if im wrong, but I believe you wont find any leaks after the egr valve during regen as the valve should be closed? However I do like that hot water trick!
  13. It’s getting a hot pipe as well now, it’s a 07 granite mp7…Volvos first test run.
  14. Speaking of coolers. Just came across this today…truck sounded like a tea pot at low/mid range rpm. Go away at full throttle. Clearly within operation of the egr valve. It was the bottom gasket of the hot pipe.
  15. Probably said I’m this close now, it’s getting a cooler. I’m not doing this job twice.
  16. You are 100 percent correct on the fact that throwing parts at it is what has to happen sometimes, I’m guilty of bringing the parts cannon out of the closet myself. Not as often as some people but it has a couple of times. Not a nice feeling but sometimes that’s what it comes down to on these red engines.
  17. Pry could have been fixed with a turbo. Someone didn’t want to take the chance it may have been a cooler if it wasnt and basically have to do the job all over again.
  18. RIP, anyone that got to do something that cool lived a good one more then likely.
  19. Hahaha, yes that would awesome. I don’t see why that couldn’t happen?
  20. I can’t remember the last time I seen one of those trucks. Keep the black one stock and build the 454 to a mild street car. Sleeper…
  21. Cam, long tube headers, and a 2800-3000 stall converter and that thing would be a real mean truck and very streetable too.
  22. Alright…big block! Now put a nice lopey cam in there when you got it apart.
  23. I can’t find much info, but I think it was this engine. https://www.dieselworldmag.com/diesel-engines/black-hole-cummins/
