  1. You did see it’s a 2000 right? Y2K truck
  2. Correct. It’s a bimetallic strip. The fans junk
  3. Yup viscous fans I have seen lock up when cold for a short period then cut out, that’s on fords anyway. But if thing isn’t cutting out at all the valve is clearly stuck open and it’s trashed. Let you guys handle it though
  4. It is normal for those things to be tight as shit when cold and they do lock in when cold. But usually kick off after about 30 sec of driving down the road. From what you’re saying I’m going to diagnose it as bad. But these guys have been doing this longer then me so take that for what it’s worth.
  5. What did you get? Yes there are others out there.
  6. Yea you need two guys to turn those ones on the granite haha
  7. Sounds like you got a bad fan clutch.
  8. I just came across this video on YouTube. I happen to really like trains and I personally think this is just cool as hell. However when I see this stuff it really angers me that other countries such as us have to have our fun and good running engines taken away. Also at the same time making trucks extremely expensive to buy and maintain. While at the same time your not being compensated for the down time that the federal government is the cause of 90% of the time since it’s usually emission related and then can’t get something as simple as a sensor. Mean while majority of countries have this going on and it’s not an issue. This isn’t just that train they are all like that.
  9. Id love to help you, but I don’t know anything about these. Mackpro should be able to take care of you.
  10. Get a go pro and mount it on the back of trailer and pull some hills loaded for a good vid haha.
  11. He’s asking what trans is in the truck
  12. sounds like you got her running pretty damn good Especially up in the mountains and with all the hills
  13. I’m well aware how it works, just saying I understand why you guys knocked the compression down. At the same time too more air with more fuel becomes a blow torch to the pistons and exhaust valves. You got any vids?
  14. Advanced also makes harder cold staring. So i bet you got her plugged In now
  15. forums/internet are real life minus the fact that a lot of people get some really big balls behind a computer screen and say shit they wouldn’t ever say to peoples faces in person (shows what kind of person you are). In the fact that forums are essentially real life situations for the most part people need to just learn how to walk away and avoid confrontation. As much as a tough guy you are, an avoided fight is won fight. If you see a topic you don’t like just leave. Just like in person if you see a bad situation you’re more than likely gonna avoid it the best you can. 9 times out of 10 no one asked for your opinion anyway. If you comment then you just made it your issue. However if someone wants to be an in internet bully and just follow you around and say shit, well then it becomes harassment and it’s time for them to get the boot….and because their an asshole. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. For the little time I have been here every single person on here has been absolutely helpful and courteous. If I ever see someone come on here and be a dick I’ll gladly step in for you fellow members regardless if I end up like the guys we are talking about or not.
  16. Nope you’d have the pyro gauge spinning in circles if you had that big compression with serious fuel and bigger turbo. That’s amazing you can keep the egt under 1k. Also you’re up in the mountains so that plays a big role in your temps and power too. Are those temps loaded or unloaded? Is there anyway to put something like an air dog or fass 200gph electric fuel pump to feed the injection pump on these?
  17. Honestly that’s the best part. Regardless of skill level we all have been there done something and learned something someone hasn’t.
  18. Agreed, that pop is the compression coming out the intake and pushing whatever exhaust is left in the cylinder out through it. I’ve been thinking timing the whole time but I don’t know much about these and didn’t want to sound dumb, also I wasn’t sure how these could jump time. So honestly it’s coming down to an engine brake, injector, or something in the pump. Glad you’re back, I will watch the big dogs now.
  19. Love your CHs but def prefer day cab.
  20. What you guys mostly haul? Cattle? I see your from the north east. My favorite place 😊
  21. Nice work, I bet that bitch runs
  22. So v, what your saying is you think cylinder 1 is loading up? Or whatever cylinder it was.
  23. I feel like anytime you have exhaust/compression going out the wrong valve it’s timing. That’s just what I learned. But I’m green and have learned a lot from a handful of you guys and you know who you are.
