I asked about key cam change. He said the main gain is in he ECM. But I need to buy Mack turbo injectors,,etc. Before Mack will release high hp service data pack. Does this sound TRUE?

Hey thanks for that info will print and take to Mack. I really sucks that in my area they say Mack is a Breed of there own, no we can't help.(makes me laugh, respect the DOG) The pin holding lifter broke causing we'll you know. Also how can I tell if steel or ceramic lifters? BTW 2oo1 Jan, Date truck.

Finally had my Jake tune up, to find out #1 lobe is wiped. So my question is what Mack cam can I have put in? Mine is a E-7 etech 355/380. Could I gain anything with a 410 or 460 installed? Thanks for your help.

I guess I'm different. I call first to see whats open, call back after I clear my end. As far as get the parts they needed I went to parts dept. and got the numbers started.(thanks to rhasler).

I called my local Mack dealer service for repairs on Friday. We talked about what needs to be done(only a half day job at worst he says)to service rep. He says Thursday open, call Monday early, if you want this appointment. So I call about 9am, to schedule repairs, appointment taken. So I drop off truck tonight, and asked again, will you get this in the shop tomorrow morning? Answer: "We'll try. All the trucks here now are from 2-3 days ago appointments." So why make appointments? Is this normal because of parts not available? I was told from parts dept. all mine were in stock, because I was going to do the job myself? Do you thinks these dealers are running short inventory, causing the back log on other Mack's? How do some of you guy's who work at the dealers, or other shops, deal with appointments?

Just throwing this out. How about the switch to the trolly brake valve?

I had that problem, turned out to be battery disconnect. Somethings would work, small electronic stuff (radio cb etc.). Since the disconnect breaks the negative side somethings did not need the amps.. Bypassed the disconnect all together since I never used it. Problem gone. Hope yours is easy to fix like mine. So I guess it will be about 8hrs for me as I've never done this. rhasler, can you get any and all info that you can acquire from Mack on this rebuild? I have the SB for this truck and all info from Jacobs, anything from Mack would be nice. Plus I just like to read all I can pertaining my truck. Thanks agian for all your help.
