  1. What year are the new trucks? the CV doesnt have an acc relay like previous trucks, it has a relay block plugged in ,,, to the left of the fuse panel... If you just want to run power for light s etc... depending on what the demand is,,, there are plugs in the dash harness that are not used and you can use one of them, and add a fuse to the circuit.. you can also I.D. the wires in the dash by reading the numbers on them. The fuse number is printed on the wire. check it with a DVOM to ensure you have the correct wire related to the fuse socket in the panel. there is probably 10+ ways to do this.. You can also connect to the relay on the fire wall to get power, or the EPDM on the fire wall left of the steering shaft... Someone else will chime in with more exact info... jojo
  2. with respect...... more info is needed. what is the issue? Year?
  3. Busted.... yep, ur right i forgot, also forgot MH's... truth is I have liitle knowledge on 'U's' (mini DM's),,, but,,, I did work on a bunch MH postal trucks with air starters, back in 2000-?. so.. above the chassis and engine i'm no good... jojo
  4. Salisbury......... thank you joe... I work hard to do what I do.... I'm 3 hours away from MoparMike.... any 'R' Model is right up my alley... CH,CL, CX,, CV, and so-on.... I luv'em.... JOJO... Oh yeah,,, DM's too...
  5. Any guess's on What country will dominate the Olympics... I know who I pick..... just read the label on every thing you buy, other than food items... jojo
  6. open the hood, on the firewall towards the center is a pressure switch... thats brake lights. you can cross the wires and the lights will come on.. its safe to do this. if no brake lights, keep digging as instructed,, if the brake lights come on,, replace the pressure switch .. jojo
  7. what is going on with the tranny?
  8. Full tank pressure, 90+ when the truck is low on air, flip the range button while you build air pressure. when the T.P.V. gets above 85 psi, you can here the range clutch shift. jojo
  9. what year and model truck?
  10. Hmmmmm, so if you push the button with the key off, will it still display the odometer? Sorry I dont have any good answers right now..jojo
  11. So after doing an inframe re-build, with another cam and re-man heads, and a PAI engine kit.... She purrs like a Dog!!! we had some delays due to parts availabilty, so if any of you out there are planning on rebuilding/ repairing youre 'not very old' Mack.. do as much parts searching as you can before 'downing' the truck... on this one, the center exhaust manifold was cracked and Mack said, none til October.... I searched for a week and found nothing... then I just told him to take the manifold off his '96 E-7 and bolt it on for now.. It fit perfectly, without modifying the oil tube or rotating the turbo,,, Joey
  12. do you have 2 buttons on the front of the gauge panel? if so... are the rubber boots missing allowing dust to get in the buttons? I assume that this is a road truck and not a dump truck since its a CXN... but anyway, try to clean the gauge panel with dry compressed air, I suggest removing the cluster to do this... its easy to do.. jojo
  13. I'm going to drive that one soon.. GA Dave, You Kick Ass!!
  14. I bet the stupid mack valve is stuck, or the cable clamp is loose or gone and the cable is bowed. have you looked at the heater line to see if the valve is stuck?
  15. Pull the rear shift cover with the air line's, and inspect the fork and rail for a loose set screw and of course any other damage. It sounds to me that, the truck was low on air pressure, and when it came up, the range clutch tried to engage, and ground itself a bit.... mabey it's just stuck between ranges, not saying it's not 'hurt'... jojo
  16. Man that is a first for me 'here'... my gut said it was to good to be true, because I have been searching for over a week, and I have many contacts to call. I also P.M.'d him and did not get an answer.... My customer is loosing 'daily' quad axle dump truck pay because of these B.S. parts issues.... and a scammer is nothing but a roadblock. I stopped looking because I thought I was about to buy one from him... I'm tempted to put an E-7 manifold on it and modify the oil return under the turbo... hell cut it and put a hose on it like an E-7.... Thoughts please???? Jojo
  17. You got this.... any answers you need are right here.. jojo
  18. Mack Gray RTV can get you by..... just seal everything... I am currently building a CH, and put mack Gray on all of the roof parts.... been here done this.... jojo
  19. I just had another thought...... Is the cab rusted under the valence panel below the wind shields? look at the underside of the panel , the best you can..... its only about 8 T-25 screws to pull it off, just keep a check on the washer hoses... no biggie... jojo
  20. It will read V-Mac II.. how 'bout this??? when the lightning bolt is 'on'..... V-Mac III, you can pull the codes. (cruise control only... Lightning bolt is on..?? Turn cruise control off..... press the cruise speed control down for 2 full seconds an count the flashes. 'pay attention'! bring a pencil and paper.. there will be 2 set's of flashes. write it down, ie: (8-2.... #2 E.U.P. ) my point is, it's easy... cycle the button until the codes repeat... Be patient.... once you have written the code's, just look it up on the web... there is a bunch of free downloads, that you can print... Been there, done That!! Jojo
  21. the 454 is fine... 2002-2006, have ceramic lifters... they work well, but can not handle any shock, when one breaks, the cam lobe will be destroyed in a flash... jojo
  22. Can you please post a picture of the exhaust manifold?
