    worked for me. wife ranting on about me on here; so i read your post REAL slow. LOL. besides i found it very interesting . how some updates are done has been know to be challenging.

    can remember when mack came out with the dynatard; what a joke / pain in ass. changed more exhaust push rods then i want to count. mack started out using both original in/ ex push rods. the pressure on exhaust rods so bad it was bending them. mack went to solid exhaust rods finally.

    just signed out and saw your post;; had to sign back in to thank you for update. now i can sleep tonight ;LOL. couldn't remember how the jake got oil supply. forgot the o-ring fitting went top of rocker assembly. back in the day joke was "made in japan"-junk.. after day of class at jacobs engine brake and seeing how the Japanese new owners saved the jake operation i was impressed. old way was spend day making hundreds of units. then check them. one bad they were all bad and thrown out. new owners had random pulls from assembly line. bad one found stop the line and make corrections.

    that's where confusion came about. unit looked familiar to what i remember, the pic with 90 degree fitting is different. Thanks for reply/ update.

    once again never too old to learn new. have installed jakes; even trip to factory here in CT yrs ago when they were made here. question JOJO ; the braided line, is that how units are oil fed today;; no more o-ring fitting coming from underside?

    quite surprised this week end watched some of the mecum auto auctions, seem to me prices were low/reasonable. could also be a bad sign of the times. a $200K bentley ??when new sold this weekend for 30K.     like I've said before;; for my little grandkids I feel sad for; they didn't do anything wrong. I can't stand seeing signs "black lives matter" ALL lives matter , pull your own weight and work for what you have and i don't give two sh-ts your color.

    never did the oven cleaner, imagine it's trial and error depending on how much / thick letters etc are. first trip cleaning doesn't do 100% , a second soaking safe? how close to the 20 mins +-

    of course that combo a big deal in good ole USA. we all know our friends "down under" that 4x2x4x2 is an every day work ride. i'd vacation in Australia just to see , maybe ride in a combo like that. another favorite on u-tube oversize loads.

    not much a twin stack dump truck person, i would take that KW as a 4 axle HD lowbed tractor. growing up on B-81 dumps, never "understood "twin stacks on a dump. now a 4 axle high horse power tractor hooked to 2 axle jeep connecting to a 4 axle lowbed maybe a 2 axle stinger!! got my vote. don't worry wife looks at me with that expression too.. LOL

    I don't have a MAJOR problem with helping the refugees from the mess over russia/Ukraine; coming over here. it's the middle man making $$$$$$$ at their expense. when news talks about a boat made for 20-30 people has 60-80 being smuggled in this country sinks, the smugglers made their blood money. it be great if this country started taking care of their own first also,

    can look at it this way;; "has been quite the journey thus far". astronauts go for a journey - all they do is ride around the earth a few times, come back and are forgotten, your journey not only has given you a project of pride but has been an inspiration to many: myself included. you step out the door and still see your journey sitting in the driveway or even better at a truck show with so many people in awe staring at it. tried to up load my B73/75 L cab (1/25th scale) ; won't work.

    do you have any maintenance records with it, when /if the PS filter and fluid were changed? when you turned the adjusting screw was the box in center position? the adjusting screw on side with a screwdriver slot should be for adjusting backlash on rack and pinion in the box. have seen fluid change/filter make a big difference . i'm assuming the play is when unit is running.

    changes would depend on whether we got a glimpse of option #2 on life.i'd change a couple of things for the "better"not for financial gain or materialistic stuff.

    rough farm life for a kid is an under statement. being 3rd generation trying to keep grandparents farm going i heard unbelievable stories of life on the farm. in the day anyone could go to the hardware store and buy dynamite (try todays world).one uncle lost 2-3 finger tips from blast that went wrong. dynomite was used to clear the fields of rocks/stumps. dairy cows didn't take a day off either..
