  1. Thank you so much for the comments! Looking back now it’s great Memories, And the trucks are just the material object's that we can relate our Family & Friends to . From the time we spot one of these old trucks , bringing it home, to restoring it we have memories of all the people who helped us. My Grandson never knew my Dad, But the C Model and all the pictures of it and Dad( My Son drove the C Model to my Dads funeral, he was 17 ) Tie them all together. Same with the LJ , Hopefully it will create good memories for My Son & Grandson and Friends long after I’m gone. Vlad ,Keep having fun, Make Memories! i
  2. Thank you! I got all the fender parts blasted, but I have been working on the cab so I can get it on and start wiring it. I’m still hoping that a better set of fenders will turn up , but that’s probably wishful thinking. I got a couple more hours to paint the bottom of the cab today, hopefully next week I can spray the top white, then I can install the glass and and bolt the dashboard in and start wiring.
  3. Thanks Vlad for the Birthday wishes! Yes there are a lot of “Stuff “ here! When my Dad was living we collected and restored several old Mack’s ( and tractors ) , Then my Son got into the Superliners, he’s up to about 6 I think, now my Grandson wants to get everything out and ride in them,, so my semi- retirement is FULL time between working on my 30 year LJ project and Being Grandpa! But I Love it !
  4. Yes BrockyThe C is ours, My Dad drove it for Hennis, We restored it in the early 2000s . I have seen your Diamond T ! Nice! hope to see you soon.
  5. I love reading all these stories and comments from around the world!
  6. Thank Y’all for the comments ! Yes the pic with the C Model was in Arden a few years ago! I need to get it out and drive it, haven’t had time yet.
  7. I found a picture from a few months ago of the aluminum molding. I also found a picture from when I started taking it apart,, That little Boy with overalls belongs to this little Boy with overalls! I Have got to get this thing done!
  8. Thank You, The seam is still there, just not as noticeable ,when I replaced the cab back I put some filler around it just to seal it up good, I have got the trim, and have already pre drilled for it , hopefully I can get the top painted white in the next week or so and probably go ahead and install that and the lights. ( i was over your way Monday, hauling equipment with one of our Superliners to the new hospital )
  9. Plugging away, A hour here and there.
  10. Got a few hours of work on it today,, ( and my help is out of school for the summer! ) hope to paint the black strip by the weekend.
  11. Sad news, I enjoyed any advice he shared on here, Will be missed very much.
  12. Very True, It will All come together, Great progress in the last year !
  13. OH YES,, That’s the Sound i grew up on! Great Work!
  14. I think it looks Great! I would pick that over the Original! Nice work. That’s going to be one sharp H Model!
  15. That’s the light Brown we matched with the photo gun at the DuPont store, from inside the glove compartment door and under the front brake control metal indicator, which was original paint,, it’s hard to tell with that photo I posted,, the sun was very bright. Thank you , I enjoy all replies, keeps me motivated.
  16. Very nice,, looking forward to hearing the backdrop with a stack,, it’s going to be different that’s for sure!
  17. I may have set the cab on with no rubber mounts, thinking if it clears without, it should be even better with mounts,, but I still think the frame mounts are higher on the B73 , I’ve never compared a LT , but looking at the pictures I think they are higher also. I’ve found a lot of changes over the years in what I thought would be the same on L Cabs .
  18. A little progress today, now for a lot of taping.
  19. Yes it looks 3 or 4 inch’s higher then my LJ , But I think the wrap is a good idea anyway because it’s still closer to the floor then the routing of a center drop . A lot to hook up, but a Lot behind you also !
  20. Yes I think the L cab on the B73 is probably a few inches Higher then on a LJ . Perfect!
  21. My goodness that’s nice! It also looks like the Backdrop has enough clearance, from what I can see? Beautiful,,, Congratulations on a Milestone! Thanks for sharing the great pictures.
  22. A little more progress today, got all the dash and interior ready for some light brown ( except for door panels, not ready yet) .
  23. Yes, good point. Most of the piping is pretty much measure and cut after you get your stacks mounted.
  24. The R is going to be the same as a Superliner, and most Superliners had twin stacks, if you found a parts truck you could get all your stack mounts, the Y pipe can be bought new, most all pipe sizes are 5 inch ( if it’s 4 off the turbo I would step it up to 5 before the Y ) . We have 5 Superliners so if you need any measurements let me know,, also what engine is your R ?
