  1. You definitely took it down further then I have ever seen ! Great Work! Your on the last mile of a long journey,, And DoubleClutchinWeasel was Spot on about having a vision of the finish product ! You actually had to have more vision then me ,, because I drove my project,, 40 years ago .
  2. I’m going to try to send them a message,, I tried calling a couple months ago and they were still closed. The sent me a Parts build sheet about 10 years ago on it that a lot of the part numbers still change over,, very helpful! I also always wondered if they made a schematic on the air line plumbing? Hopefully I can get in touch with them.
  3. Will Do,, I hope I can get away. I’ll look for you if I get down there.
  4. I’m not sure if I’ll get time to bring a truck down,, I just got in from working, I may bring my Grandson down.
  5. I was wondering where I could get a diagram, l looked at some pictures of your dash that you posted and the LJ has fewer wires then the B73 , the old harness is long gone, I do have a parts truck that I removed the dash and it will be a good reference, but I would like to have a factory LJ wiring diagram just to keep it as close as possible. I’ll use modern wire and loom because I already bought enough 14 & 10 gauge wiring. Removing the voltage regulator, generator, and the series parallel switch cut a lot of wiring out already. Thank you.
  6. Hopefully I’ll get some time over the weekend to get back on my dash wiring, ( No Harness at all, was all trash) I’m trying to use as many old switch’s as I can, sense I’m putting it back for the same look it had when I started driving it when I was 18 . The biggest changes I made are Tubeless tires, Alternator, backdrop manifold and Jake Brake. Tom Mahoney is sending me 2 old style Jake Dash switch’s. Hopefully I can get a good start on the wiring, Equipment hauling has been busy ( which is great,, when buying Paint and old Mack parts)
  7. That Last Center shot is Absolutely Perfect! That’s a B73 Poster ! Great Detail!
  8. Mud Flaps look perfect on the front! That’s the way we always mounted them on ours . When Dad got a New truck that was the first thing that got installed,,
  9. I agree on the Museum Quality! Love it!
  10. My 51 LJ had wood between the frame and plate, I took the old U bolts and had new ones made. The wood I put back I cut from decking material. I’m sure if you used it every day the bolts would have to be retighten every now and then.
  11. Thanks for the Video! Great Detail! It’s going to be A Beautiful H Model for sure!
  12. Thanks for Sharing the Journey! And the Picture . Also thanks for the Tips , Parts and Most of all the Motivation I have gotten from watching your progress! In a sense,, You have restored a B73 and a LJ ! Thank You!
  13. I have a Gut Feeling we will get a GOOD Backdrop video from a B73 in a few months,,,,,
  14. OH Yes ! I Grew up near those Emeryvilles that I got the Backdrops off of! That’s The Sound we were looking for! Congratulations!
  15. I’m glad you got to hear 100 yards of Backdrop Music!
  16. Thank you, I’ll check them out, I have a extra fuel/amp gauge and air gauge,, I could go ahead and wire everything up, then swap later.
  17. Anyone ever seen this truck? Picture was taken in late 80s
  18. Where was it bought from? Color.? I have a 87 Freedom Superliner.
  19. Worked on the dash some today,I’m still looking for a air PSI gauge and Fuel//Amp gauge if anyone has ideas, going to use them for now, they work but numbers and letters are coming off , still making progress.
  20. Have you been able to tell the difference in the “ Backdrop “ and a regular center drop? I’ve reved mine up some , I can’t really tell, I don’t have a stack on it yet. Your going to turn heads for sure!
  21. I bet that felt REWARDING!
  22. That’s a great idea, It’s originally almost flat when you push the pedal all the way down, My ankle won’t bend that much, lol ! I know what you mean about melting,, I get in about 5 after Trucking all day and try to work on mine a little, about 30 minutes of heat is all I can stand. We are making good progress in the last year, Thanks again for the motivation!
  23. Yes I was Grateful to get the NOS parts! ,, My help usually has Boots on ,lol . He was slack yesterday 😎
  24. I put my help to work today,, it’s handy working inside a cab at 4ft tall! Got Some NOS Parts , A steering wheel, never been installed, a Speedo still in Cosmoline , with 1/2 mile on it and a NOS oil psi and temperature gauge,, I’m still looking for a Fuel and Amp gauge in decent shape, my numbers and letters have fallen off .
