  1. Nope. Its one of three identical 32' Great Danes they bought new, in 1997 when they still had the plant in Bennington Vt.
  2. I wasn't on the farm pick up end with the CH. This is at the Shaw's supermarket in Randolph, Vt, (formerly Grand Union).
  3. I found this in my files. My apologies if this belongs to someone else!
  4. Nashua Motor Express still has at least one in use. Hope to get a shot of it someday.
  5. West of the city, maybe between Exits 44 & 48? on the south side of the road. Oddly enough there is a Harbison Ave. in the vicinity.
  6. Don't know about that one Vinny, but I went through Hartford Ct. today and I could see some old Macks with offset cabs on the south side of I-84.
  7. The block truck in New Hampshire is really nice. I see he has a St. J trailer, too.
  8. Michigan 12 B that was on Ebay a few years ago. Perkins diesel I think.
  9. Tim - Do you have any more info. on the red and black Brockway? How long ago were you there?
  10. I went back the day after the auction to watch the trucks being pulled out and loaded. A few had to be dragged. I was suprised that most of them rolled right out as if they wanted to go to their new homes.
  11. The Brockway where it sat for years. Hard to get good pictures, he really had the trucks crammed in there.
  12. Actually there was one there. Not sure of the engine but I think it was a Scania.
  13. The ATHS is a great organization. I would not be a life member if I didn't think so. Some of the best friends I have I've met through the ATHS. I wish I could have met them decades earlier. I think it's so cool that when we all get together the years between us melt away and we all become the same age. (teenagers?) Many times I have mentioned that I was looking for a part and a few days later there it is on my doorstep when I come home from work. As far as the forum it is not what it once was. Mostly Peterbilt or Kenworth stuff, don't even think about posting about a Mack. Please don't judge the ATHS by the forum posters.
  14. The Brockway is interesting. Someone converted it to diesel? It's also wearing J.M. Giddings colors.
  15. Here's a nice little U for Vinny: http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/2820848396.html
  16. Your Dad had good taste. Not too many of those left today.
  17. I drove a few Macks in the 80s and I always wondered about the blue button. Never used it that I can remember. We had some older freight trailers and if you didn't charge the brakes before you backed under it the trailer could take off like a rocket. Especially on ice.
  18. This is one my local highway department had. I've been trying to figure out what model it was. I think they got it new in 1967. I've not seen an air cleaner like that one. No luck on the HCEA site.
  19. Nice pics. They had a real snazzy paint scheme. The third truck looks like a 200 series, can't tell for sure.
  20. Waukesha 190 on the test stand. I'm really impressed with the work they did. This was an engine that barely ran. Now it sounds like a totally different engine. They fixed the governor, and found a NOS fuel pump to replace the electric one that somebody put on it.
  21. I'm trying to remember what model they were, RD609 I think. They were only one or two years apart. I might be going back by there next week.
