Testing out a new forum under General Discussions...it's called the Mack Truck Q & A forum! http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/forum/66-mack-truck-q-a/ This forum is structured a little differently to allow questions and answers. Answers can be rated by users an the highest rated answers will be displayed first! Questions can be pretty much anything about Mack Trucks! Do you have a question about maintenance? Thinking about purchasing a new or used Mack and have a question? Just keep the questions on topic and related to Mack Trucks! I have also enabled star ratings on most all forums to help identify interesting or important topics!

Sorry guys...no conspiracy or anything of that nature! I was just really tied up with work and haven't had time to review KSC's issues. I am now working to convert him over to an honorary BMT Benefactor with unlimited upload space! The news will continue!!

No problem...everyone will love the new format after a while! Just takes time to get used to it!

Did you guys know that you can now upload profile cover photos kind of like Facebook? It's easy, just click on your name>profile up top or in any post that you made and then click Cover Photo to upload a picture! You can then move it around to fit the allowed space! Click save and DONE! Add a little custom touch to your profile!

I'll look into it...it looked like both the garage and registry vehicles transferred over but maybe not! The problem was that both systems were the same software and they got merged during the forum upgrade. The easy way to see what is in your current garage is to go to your profile view and click on the Garage Tab. If you don't have a vehicle in there, feel free to add it in! This is how the software will stay. I do apologize if anything was lost...sometimes these upgrades do not go smooth...especially when we waited so long to do it. To get to your profile, click on your name at top right and then click profile. You can also upload a profile cover photo while you are there! It will fill in the gray rectangle on your profile page!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to extract the registry categories when the garage and registry merged...it looks like all the vehicles are in the garage and searchable but they are not organized by model anymore like before. I just added new categories to the Garage to make it a little more like a registry...I split the categories by year. I will work on moving existing trucks around but members can move their trucks themselves by going to their garage listings and clicking MANAGE>MOVE and move to the proper category. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/profile/61-superdog/?tab=node_collections_Collections

On the Carbon and Shift themes, there is a small paint brush icon that you can click to change the forums colors or background images.

Yes, the other themes do have a little different layout but all the controls should be the same.

I'm not sure how the new format is hard to navigate...it actually became a little more simplified from the old version. There are now less buttons and links to navigate. Someone with little computer experience can literally use the 'Unread Content link' and never have to get too advanced. Advanced users will find a lot of cool features and adjustable content streams to fine tune what they are looking for. BMT has something for everyone at every skill level. I liked IPB software because it is scalable like that. Give it a chance and in a few weeks it will be second nature for you! Try the different themes also!

The 2 dark themes have some cool color and background settings! Click the paintbrush icon to change it up!

Hey guys...there has been a lot of chatter about threads not going to the first unread post when clicking on them... According to Invision Power Boards, this should happen when you click on a thread from the forum index page. If you are using UNREAD CONTENT or any ACTIVITY STREAM, click on the blue dot at the beginning of the thread title and it will take you to the first unread post! See the pic below!

I have the best luck using the UNREAD CONTENT link or the Activity button from up top. With the activity button, you can fine tune how the threads and posts are sorted and handled. It is different but you hit the nail on the head...if we would have gotten hacked on the old software, we would have had zero support due to the old software end of life!

BMT didn't have anything to do with that! Edge comes from Windows 10 update on your PC.

Hmmm...not sure. When I click on a topic, it automatically goes to the last unread post. I'll look around in the user control panel settings and see if there is something you need to turn on. Any one else have this issue?

Ok guys, I have uploaded 2 new themes! You can explore them by clicking the THEME link at the bottom of every forum page. Give them a try and maybe click around a little...you might find some theme Easter Eggs! Still got some work to do on all 3 of our themes but they are ready to roll for the most part!

I have added a couple darker themes to the theme changer located at the bottom left of every forum page! Feel free to try them out and use the one you like!

Yes, that is another bonus...the old software had issues with the newest IE11 and Firefox. The new software is cross browser compatible!
