now that look like fun

carlot now that sounds like a lot of work.
I used 2x6 for the new deck
the old wood is so rotten it will probably burn fast
-
my deck on my little car trailer was about completely rotted out. had plywood patches over broken boards, and it was getting bad enough i was afraid to load anything heavy on the trailer for fear it would fall threw.
it went pretty quick the old deck just about fell out of the trailer when i started pulling it out. start to Finnish including the trip to the lumber yard was about 6hrs

i have a 16 and a 20 ton air over hydrolic bottle jack. I don't remember witch came from where but one came from harbor freight another from a farm store. haven't had any issues with either. havent come across anything either wont lift. my 1 inch impact is from harbor freight as well. never had any trouble busting off lug nuts with it. the 1 inch gun is a air hog though. I have a pretty big compressor but far from the biggest 60 gallon single stage 2 piston if i remember right its like 13.5 cfm at 60 psi and 11.5 @90 and normally i get to the last lug nut on a wheel and i have to wait a few seconds or so to break it loose. Sometimes if i just crack all the lug nuts first then start over taking them the rest of the way off i will get them all without having to wait so keep that in mind when you get your 1 inch gun they require a pretty hefty compressor.
I also plan to get a 3/4 impact next time i make a trip to harbor freight (nearest one is 200 miles away from me) i have a really strong 1/2 impact (800 ft lb rated) and it really cranks for a 1/2 gun but sometimes i need just a little more umph but yet but cant get at it with my massive 1 inch gun

i didn't see one on the top. i didn't really look for it either though, next time im in there i will though. as far as the stick method that is how i did it this last time. same way i do my clutch adjustments, i have a breaker bar that's just the right length of wedging the clutch pedal. If i have to do that every time on this truck then i guess thats just what i have to do but i like making common tasks as easy as possible when i can. that way things don't get skipped or put off where as if they are easy they get done every time without fail. not that two bolts and pressing the clutch pedal is that hard but the less steps the better. a lube shop would surly skip them every time.

not super motivated to sell but my Mack replaced this truck, just figured i would put it up and see if there is any interest, if not i will keep it as a spare.

the tire on my pusher axle is a lower than standard low pro 22.5 i want to say its a 255/70 if memory serves the drive tires in that picture my truck had standard low pro 24.5 on the drives for size reference.

if i press the clutch in i found the zerk bad news is i don't see how i can put my extension hose on it.
-
thanks, i will look at it again tomorrow

im guessing there was some major frame problems or something prior that tractor hardly pulled on it before it broke in half

so normally i attach a grease hose to my TO bearing so i don't have to pull the inspection cover to grease. well as much as i hate to admit it i never got around to it till today. so i got my grease extension hose and fittings and stuff out that i had bought for the truck a couple months ago climb under and pull the inspection cover, problem is......this setup looks different than anything i am used to and i don't see a grease zerk anywhere for the t/o bearing

ill try not to complain about my 25x50' shop being too small anymore....lol

i am impressed with your work so far. rather than using the electric fan i would try to wire your signal to turn the electric fan to you're fan clutch solenoid and just use the engine fan.or if you have a mechanical fan you should have enough airflow for the condinser

my freightliner has bud wheels so i feel your pain there. my mack has hub centered a lot nicer. for the most part if i am getting 8 tires im at a tire shop. most the time when im busting tires its patch/repair work so i am only doing a tire or two. although not too long ago i had 8 tires on steel rims i wanted on my aluminum rims. on my mack, so i broke down 16 tires and re-mounted 8. that was a lot of work that day. but it was easier than loading up 8 mounted tires and hauling them to a tire place and then having them swapped over. and really once you get the rythem going its not too bad.
really from a cost standpoint tires are about the only thing i don't mind taking to a shop for the cost involved i prefer to just let them do it. however many times you spend twice the time waiting at the tire shop than what it takes you to just do it yourself. so that's why i end up doing most my tire work.
