I'm happy how it turned out the one for the superliner will probably be a little bit better sure beats the alternative of having to pay someone to make one for me.

I wish my B model cab was squared off! I'm liking that pleated material.
My old cardboard headliner is in such sad shape I don't think I could get it all stuck back together to cover it with that pleated material? If I had more room to work I might be able to "form" some new cardboard and put material on it and do it in sections of sort.
I used the old one as a template of the new one I used those Kraft panels that are polyethylene coated same as the original so water wont damage it. The headliner in this truck was put together in four sections like the original being the first one it has its flaws but everyone after this should get better.

The only problem I see is the R model cab is bigger and way more boxy so you have a wide front end on a narrower chassis makes it look out of proportion to me.

Got the headliner and console in today there were a few gaps but I had some material left over to fill them in with I have to tuck in the pleated part at the back where it folds over the ripple shows from the sharp fold it takes to go behind the back piece. I started on making the base plates for the air ride seats to be mounted on today.

Did that sprayer thing worked great with ca6 just had a shovel full by the doghouse
Sure makes life easier and that shovel full can be thawed out by spraying chloride on it and the frost will dissolve instantly.

I think the B is better proportioned for a pick up conversion smaller cab and front end lends itself for a better looking truck.

Ok guys thanks I ll try the calcium. Don't like them using the excavator to scrape that aluminum box 6 wheeler steel box is different but that aluminum can get messed up with those teeth
Go to a home improvement store and buy a piss can (weed sprayer) fill it up and use that you don't waste as much and you can adjust the amount spray stream.

So what can I use in the axle trailer to keep the dirt and stone from sticking when it's below 32 degrees can't use fuel oil and it has no liner calcium cloride ?
I used calcium chloride hauling gravel it would last half the day until I had to respray it then it would melt anything stuck in the trailer before I reached the pit.

ok ill call my friend tomorrow and find out where the yard is and when there open. how much longer do you have to get it out of there
I'm going to try to extend the pick up time through next week.

Its at the municipal yard that's what makes it such a pain they don't work the hours to make it an easy thing to schedule.
-
I have a military blazer sitting in big stone gap Virginia I may need assistance moving. I hired a transport company who went there today and said they couldn't haul it because its a full size K5. I would pay someone to haul it out of the municipal yard and store it until I can either line up another transporter or go get it myself. I am running out of time to remove it and I loose 40% of the purchase price if I default on it. It would have been real nice if they hadn't waited until the last minute to get it running me out of time.

You can call gunite that's where I got mine for the front axle tell them what the casting number is on your current hub they will cross it for you like they did for me. There is a place called find it parts they are drop shippers but get great rates on some parts I got my front hubs for just over a hundred dollars each shipped to me and they were not Chinese junk either. Find it parts is a crap shoot some parts are a fantastic deal some are not but its all brand name stuff worth a try though.

That's why I never cross tracks without looking both ways no matter what I still remember when we hit a pick up truck with a freight train it looked like it was shot out of a cannon the guy crawled out with a few cuts and bruises and his life.

These warm days were perfect for installing my new door panels and back piece in my old RS I made a couple of kick panel pieces today to cover the pillar between the door and cowl area. I'm still on the stump about the headliner it had the old plastic one piece in it I want to go with the more modern two piece with the console on the ceiling. Problem with the two piece being an older cab the mounting brackets the console screws into are not there. I could take a spot weld cutter and take the ones from the old superliner cab and pop rivet them to the inside of the cab but that means drilling more holes in the roof of the cab.
