The only difference I found on the wiring between the 1 and the 2 is the head light/turn/marker wiring instead of coming off the junction block on the fire wall to the drivers side and across the front of the hood to a junction block on the 2 it comes off the firewall like the 1 on the drivers side but the passenger side comes out of the firewall by the heater box

The wire harness on the 79 is about all the same color the 88 harness is all different color wires would be much easier to put back together by color if I could find the diagram. All the wire diagrams in the wiki section here are older trucks with the same as my 79.

That's the only reason I do recognize it. It's actually red, not mud colored. I had my borrowed dump wagon on. Mine is waiting for new paint and lights. I always get a wave from the guy in the Welch Pete. When I had my red/silver Pete he would always wave. Looks like an old Bell Land stubby truck.

That was a Bell lowboy truck that's what he calls it too ole stubby I need to acidize my trailer its pretty dirty but with the dust its hard enough to keep the tractor clean.

You didn't see me. My uncle's truck is an all silver Peterbilt, Jim(aka 150) drives my old red/silver Pete and my Dad has the blue Pete with the bunk. I know he was on 20 Friday. My blue Pete was resting in the barn. I'm in a red/black Pete now.

It was probably your dad then I heard you were a bit surprised to find out Stan Guess had bought that old red B model.

I'm sure everyone has slipped off the clutch pedal when boots are wet. muddy or however slippery. Sometimes just jerk ahead and kill the engine or, like I did once up in the woods after hooking up to my log trailer, slipped off pedal are snapped the input shaft in front rear end. (SQHD's)..   The company I work for has 2 dump trucks with "nonslip" clutch pedals.

Last 2 RDs I drove had them good idea but hard on the sole of the boots.

  5. I am in the process of recabbing a 79 superliner the wire harness is completely oil soaked and in bad shape. I'm using a 88 superliner 2 cab and would like to use the color coded wire harness that was in that cab problem is last year when I got the cab I took the wire harness out thinking I was going to use the existing one in the 79. Well in taking out the color coded 88 harness I didn't mark anything thinking I wasn't going to use it anyways so it went into the parts shed and was forgotten about. The parts of the harness that plug in and go to the gauges etc. look pretty similar but the parts they cut off at the firewall that went elsewhere on the truck I have no clue what they go to so any diagrams of anything 88 and similar would be appreciated or steer me in the right direction of a source to find them.

I'm  sure  it  would, James. I would  at least like to  preserve  at least 1 door. I,  like you, remember  when   every other  truck  was a Celli truck. I  often think  about  doing  the '88 in Celli  colors to pay homage  to the  man, Eugene  Celli.  Al

Al you need to go over there and trace that logo so you have it exactly like the original its probably vinyl anyways nobody paints names on their doors anymore.

This place had a ton of old crap lying around. Wrecked trucks, an Axle trailer that didn't look terrible and other assorted stuff. Was a small garbage company that I had to borrow their scale for a minute.

Wonder if they would unload one of those trailers I really want one of the early sunrise dumps with the rounded sides like an early aluminum tub trailer.
