  1. You may have to prime the entire fuel system including cracking injectors. At the least prime the filter(s). Also Carl mentioned having a fire extinguisher nearby to choke the intake in tbe event of a runaway, but he forgot to tell you to use a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher!!! Don't blast a an ABC or any other kind of powder extinguisher in the intake or you're screwed!!!
  2. http://www.overdriveonline.com/help-wanted-reach-out-to-a-fellow-driver-sidelined-by-cancer/ Everyone take a few minutes and send him some words of encouragment. We all know that our own mackman69 appreciated encouragement. Lets help this guy, too.
  3. My little guy with his new Caterpillar equipment. No Mack equipment to be found so the second best will have to do.
  4. Show up in Court at the sentencing and ask to be heard, and voice your displeasure with the Judge. Demand the maximum allowable sentence for whatever they are being charged with. Tell the Judge what the ADA and DA told you about having no say in the matter, and that you are now requesting that HE toss the book at them as hard as he can!!!!
  5. I went to a place in Carrol, Iowa once a few years back. They had a "Philly Cheese Steak" on the menu, so just for amusement I asked the waitress what it was. After I got done laughing my ass off I said "uhhhh, no thanks." Seems I offended someone because the Manager came out and asked what was wrong with the Philly Cheese Steak. So I said "well, let me start by saying that I am from Philly. And Green peppers and swiss cheese do NOT make a Philly cheese steak. The mention of either could and would get your ass kicked in South Philly!"
  6. I brought in rolled coins to my Credit Union once a while back and they were annoyed- they HAVE to unroll them and count them through the machine. They told me "in the future just bring them in a container, we have to run them through the machine." No fees since I am a member. I have a 5-gallon jug too that I dump my pocket change and 1-dollar bills into every night. I use it for play money for me and me only. However this year since we are going to Disney in September, I'm going to use it for spending money for the kids. November of last year I started dumping a $20 bill into it every payday just for the Disney trip.
  7. And another peanut gallery heard from.....Ken you just tell them I look like an axe murderer too or I'll go all Lizzy Borden on you!!!
  8. Who the hell asked you??? Oh, wait....I did....Never mind.
  9. Hey Murf I was born and raised in Lower Moreland. Lived in Castor Gardens for a few years. Now up in Hellertown next to Bethlehem.
  10. WTF difference does it make if he looks like a car thief? How do you guys know I dont look like an axe murderer???? Go ahead Ken, Leversole and 69mackman.....Tell them I look like an axe murderer!!!!
  11. I have two things to say, and before anyone who wants to blast me.....Stop and think about what I am about to say before you do. 1. The guy is intelligent enough to WANT to do a google search to find information on Mack Trucks. He finds our little corner of the world. He signs up because he wants to better his equipment, keep it running and "eat steak" and keep bread on the table and a roof over his head just like the rest of us. He wants information from the horses mouth. So he came to the horses mouth. (although with some of the things that have been said I wonder if maybe it was the horses ass?) I dont know the guy from Adam. I'm just giving him the benefit of the doubt; thats who I am. 2. Why is it ok to be nice to Vlad over in Russia, but not this guy? Just curious. Can someone explain that to me???
  12. Let me know if I can bring anything. I live locally so going to the store isn't a problem. Would be my pleasure to contribute. A couple of cases of beer err ahh I mean water or sodas or whatever....Case of hot dogs or burgers or something?? Name it.
  13. The man wants a reason why we are all bitter. Luigiestrada, millions of hard working americans WANT to eat steak but can't because of jobs lost to foreign manufacturers. Couple that with the condition of which our trucks end up when sent to foreign destinations makes us not want to sell. That good enough???
  14. While that may be true, it would take me seven forevers to get there- I have a 3200rpm engine right now......Swap out to one of those 2-cycle mechanical assholes means going from 60MPH down to maybe 40-45???? Now, before you say "well swap out the axles" remember that I have TWO to swap out........ IF (and thats a big IF) I ever have to do major surgery, she will be converted to an oil burner, but it will be a 3208 Cat....They have a factory remanufactured road version that has an almost identical horsepower and torque curve that is a 2800rpm engine. And before anyone says anything about that engine being a boat anchor I remind you I am not delivering freight on a daily basis and 500 miles in one year would be a busy year!! As long as Detroits continue to be loud, obnoxious, oil-dripping, smoke-blowing 2-cycle lawn boy wanne be mechanical assholes I'll continue to rant!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! What do a green banana and a detroit have in common??? THEY AINT WORTH SHIT UNTIL THEY TURN YELLOW!!!!
  15. A Philly cheese steak in Macungie?? I was born and raised and lived most of my life in Philly. I moved "up north" about 10 years ago, and let me tell you something, I have been searching for a cheese steak that even comes CLOSE to what you get in Philly- these Dutchies (derogatory term for Pa. Dutch folks) wouldnt know a proper cheese steak if it slapped them across the face. One time I ordered one and got pickles on it......You could get your ass kicked in Philly for that!!!!
  16. Ummmm......aint so great any more.......the three sides of the fire triangle came together there a few weeks ago.
  17. On Saturday evening I and my father usually have dinner with Robert Gabrick (a good friend, he has written about a dozen books on trucks of varying Mfr's) and his Sterling buddies over at the Fogelsville Inn which has fantastic food and good views.
  18. Macungie is located on Route 100 about 10 miles south of I-78 (100 is exit 49.) I dont know the street address of Macungie Memorial Park, so use the street address of the firehouse which is right across the street- 31 S. Walnut Street, Macungie Pa. 18062.
  19. YES. You can come in Thurs OR Fri and leave on Saturday- which is when most folks take up- But I recommend timing it so that you dont depart Sat until late, say after 4-5pm, any earlier it's a tight zoo. Also recommend pre-registration, because the wait times to get in Thurs/Fri (and especially Sat AM) can be a while- if you pre-register you usually drive right in and maybe wait 2-3 trucks deep and no more than 5 mins.
  20. Yes, please- for the love of god- Macungie is a day not to be mired by those who have no love of trucks. If you dont think she'll have a good time, she wont. Leave her at home. My wife and I have an understanding- I dont make HER go to any truck/firetruck/car shows and she doesnt make me go to any of her Longaberger Basket Shows. (although I will give her credit- she usually brings the kids over to Macungie later in the afternoon because she knows both myself and my father enjoy having them there for the fathers day aspect of it.....)Be prepared for a long, hot day. Dress comfy, wear a good hat and sunscreen. There is food and drinks for sale, but you might want to pack a small cooler with drinks- I always have a large cooler with bottles of water for BMT and other friends who stop by- as long as they stop telling people I put a Detroit under the hood of the FWD.
  21. I have a friend that comes from Yonkers every year, with his buddy and the buddy's father who is a retired supervising mechanic for NYC Dept of Sanitation. They come every year on Saturday. It's an easy ride from the NYC area, however you would get to Interstate 78, into Pennsylvania past Allentown to the exit for Route 100. From the NYC area I would say 2.5hrs in early Saturday AM traffic. Yes the flea market is huge, you can buy almost anything truck related from brochures to spare parts to hats/tshirts to memoriabilia. You can hop a bus from the show ground in Macungie (free) which takes you to Mack's Macungie Plant and do your own "walking" tour of the assembly line which is shut down- wear comfy shoes it's over a mile walk. Then the bus will take you to the Mack Museum, and back to the show grounds. For you, if you want to save time, come to the show and then drive your car to the plant, then the museum as you have to pass them to leave. Oh and the show usually has 600+ trucks. If thats not good enough for you I dont know what is!!!!
  22. Green Dash you need to put that bottle down and step away.........
  23. I have the bulldog off my Father's Hayward F-Model, but didn't want to insult Mack by doing that!!!!!!
