93 is pretty cool...think of what the world must have been like back then...riding around in a brand new Model T...the 20's...the depression...2 world wars (although too young to remember the 1st)...news real at the beginning of a moving picture show...having to wait for the newspaper for "breaking" news....a LOT has changed in her lifetime.

Just gettin' back to my roots. Great grandad (dad's grandpa) had a cotton farm outside of Portageville, MO...not far from here. Grandma (dad's mom) was born in New Madrid, MO. Also, on my other grandma's (mom's mom) side, got relatives who were coal miners here in Southern IL... Somehow, everyone ended up in the Chicago area so they all could meet up and make me

Nah...grew up off of 53 east of 55...then moved a few miles up the road west of I55, but between 355 & 294. West 'burbs. The flag hanging on the wall of my living room is the one my dad has his picture in the yearbook flying at a high school football game. My parents moved back so us kids could go to the same "South" high school they did...and the football game was against the "Central" school. These days, you'd be expelled for doing what dad did.

I was in the Chicago 'burbs 'til after high screwl...didn't have much choice in the matter, as that's where my folks was living. As soon as I could, though, I GTFO of there and headed South.

I couldn't get the gold dog on the hood if I went that route. If I bought an old Ford LTL9000, you can guarantee I'd get a DT463-P rears under it geared 3.70/5.04 w/ full lockers, of course....probably go with a walking beam suspension 'cuz camelbacks would look funny on a Ford.

I used to be...even went to at LEAST 1 game a year at Wrigley.... ...quit watching baseball when the overpaid crybabies went on strike 'cuz they weren't making enough back in '95. Ain't been to a ball game since. Occasionally (if they are doing well towards the end of the season) the Cub fan in me will start paying attention...may not flip past the game quite as quickly...but I just haven't been able to get back into it.

I just don't wanna end up like that petercar while pulling an overloaded trailer up a coal pile...besides that, ask anyone who knows me...when I build something, I tend to OVERBUILD...better to build it stronger than you'll ever need the first time, rather than spend your time in the shop beefing it up after you figure out a way to seek out the weak link
