  2. YES SHE WILL! GO DADDY GIRL DANICA PATRICK 'GOING NASCAR!' Go Daddy Seals Deal with Danica & JR Motorsports -- Confirms NASCAR's 'Worst-Kept Secret' SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Dec. 8, 2009) – At last, the long-awaited announcement is official – Go Daddy is taking Danica Patrick to the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2010. Danica will drive the No. 7 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet in a partial Nationwide schedule next season, plus one ARCA race. The Go Daddy Girl will be racing as a member of the JR Motorsports (JRM) team owned by Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Rick Hendrick, Kelley Earnhardt and Tony Eury, Jr. through 2011. “It’s been a long time coming, but the stars finally aligned for me with Go Daddy and JRM,” Danica said just before making her announcement. “I have always said I love to drive, and if I could make it work to race in both IndyCar and NASCAR – with the right sponsor, like GoDaddy.com and the right team, like JRM – then I’d love to drive in NASCAR!” Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons introduced Danica today as she made it official with the unveiling of her new stock car in front of fans and media outside Chase Field in downtown Phoenix. The Go Daddy Girl had just wrapped up her latest Go Daddy Super Bowl shoot for the world’s top domain name registrar and Web hosting provider. She’s also planning to attend Go Daddy’s annual holiday party to be held Saturday at the ballpark. “As Danica said, the stars aligned,” said Parsons. “We’re thrilled to expand our long-standing relationship with Danica into NASCAR. This is not only big news for NASCAR fans; it has all the ingredients for some major GoDaddy-esque marketing magic.” Parsons and the Go Daddy Girl driver were flanked by the brand new bright green No. 7 GoDaddy.com Nationwide Chevrolet and the equally distinctive 2010 IndyCar at today’s news conference. Go Daddy is leveraging its existing relationship with Earnhardt, Jr. who has also driven for Go Daddy in the Nationwide Series and will continue to work as a Go Daddy spokesperson. Dale, Jr.’s sister, Kelley, is VP and GM for JRM and was at today’s news conference. She expressed her excitement to have a woman join the team. She also pointed to JRM’s experience as a key asset in Danica’s foray into NASCAR. “One of the things JRM has to offer is proven NASCAR experience,” said Earnhardt. “This is a team sport, and our team will help Danica get up to speed quickly. She’s slated to begin working with our crew starting with the upcoming ARCA tests.” The move to put IndyCar’s Most Popular Driver, and overall media magnet, into a Nationwide car is expected to give NASCAR a much needed boost considering its goal to maintain the sport’s enormous fan base. In a recent news conference, NASCAR’s CEO Brian France was asked about Danica joining NASCAR. France said, “She has a lot of talent and would be good for NASCAR…I’ve told her that directly.” Danica’s NASCAR races would take place before, after and in between her IndyCar schedule. Michael Andretti, owner of Danica’s IndyCar team, Andretti Autosport, addressed that issue. “Danica and I are both working hard for a win at the Indianapolis 500 – keeping the race schedules separate will help keep her focused,” Andretti said. The world will surely be watching when Danica drives her bright green GoDaddy.com car in her first-ever stock car race, an ARCA event in Daytona, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6 – the day before the Super Bowl. Danica’s latest Go Daddy commercials are set to debut during the Super Bowl. To see photos of Danica and her GoDaddy.com Nationwide NASCAR, visit www.GoDaddy.com/Danica. Many in the media have speculated about Danica’s recent contract negotiations. Successful negotiations are the topic of Parsons’ most recent video blog, which can be seen at www.BobParsons.me. Setting it up as heavy as that, a 260" wheel base would be nice to allow 20/34 under the federal bridge formula...but then my 240" is enough of a hassle in tight places (which would allow 18/34). Could go as low as a 200" wheel base and still get 16/34 under the bridge law... Fontaine X5092 top plate with XAWX air slide bracket...and it needs to be blocked, too, so ya might need to have the blocking kit welded in... Maybe a headache rack...and a coupleside boxes...perhaps a good bumper....dual 120 gallon fuel tanks (passenger side split 60/60 for hydraulic oil)....wet kit & all them other fun things a work truck ought to have... Slate gray rawhide interior oops...almost forgot the central tire inflation yup...I can spend other people's money REAL good, can't I?
  4. Prolly not gonna be a lot of drinkin' going on. Neither of my parents drink...her mom doesn't...and I guess there are a few on her side that have "problems". The only real alcoholic on my side died last winter...grandpa was one for years (used to tell stories of drag racing dump trucks holding a beer in one hand, shifting gears with the other....back in the day when you dang near had to KILL someone to get a DUI) before he lost the taste for it. Depending on where the reception is, it'll likely be a BYOB affair (just don't get stupid with it)...but if it's at any of a few different spots, the law would tell ya no booze. I know I wouldn't mind a beer or two...champagne & stuff like that...but there won't be drunk people falling all over the place.
  5. I dunno...what kinda cool stuff ya gonna bring me?
  6. nah...I just drive a truck...and fix & maintain a truck...and do a bunch of paperwork regarding the operation of the truck....and do some more paperwork for the tax man....and...
  7. I tell folks he's my trainee...that one of these days, he'll get the hang of driving the truck & I can turn him loose on his own so I can get a REAL job
  8. hell, my mom's not even on the list yet.... ....'cuz we ain't got a list yet
  9. has not set their status

  10. Nah...he sleeps enough for the both of us...all day in the truck, unless I ask him "whuzzat!" Then he starts going nuts looking to try to see what I'm seeing. He keeps a pretty keen eye out for gators, too...gotta keep his window up a little because he'll lunge at the window as they go past on that side. Smart dog, too...when he sees a railroad crossing coming up, he'll get down on the floor and brace for the rough crossing. That dog sure as heck ain't dumb...
  11. Nah...just more of a curiosity thing than anything else....
  12. I am...for now...she's in Texas and has to get her cute little butt up here before she can pick a venue and plan the whole shindig... I told her when I gave her the ring just to let me know when & where and I'd be there. I didn't even ask her to marry me...I sure as hell didn't get on my knee & beg her to. I had told her that if she passed algebra, I'd have a surprise for her. When she passed and asked her what she wanted, she said "only you". So, I bought the ring and waited (and waited...and waited...) for her to make a trip up here to get it... When she finally arrived, we were in the Show-Me's parking lot (about to go in for dinner) when I asked her if she meant what she said (of course not...I had to remind her) She said yes...she meant it. So I pulled the ring out of my pocket and told her "Then marry me." And that was that. I'm such a romantic...
  13. Just don't get caught by the ol' lady enjoying it TOO much....she may change your doc to an ex-linebacker (think fat fingers)...and then insist your prostate gets checked during your next exam...
  14. but when do I get the "pedigreed" status?
  15. My dog's weird...cars wreckin' on the TV and there he sleeps...
  16. that all depends....is the doc female & cute? If she is both, I don't mind turning my head & coughing... It's never a bad day when a cute gal plays with your nut sack.
  17. ...and that just pi$$es me off. Grandma sent me a newspaper clipping from the Chicrapgo Tribune about the armadillos....been found DEEP in Southern Illinois...in Franklin County. Franklin County is an hour north of here. That ain't even CLOSE to "DEEP" in Southern Illinois. If anything, it's on the northern edge of Southern Illinois...
  18. them don't look like recent pics...no white $#!t on the ground...
  19. I think I need to hit up youtube or something.... ...testing the limits of my "unlimited" plan this month
