  1. Could someone possibly explain what ".gif" means? Feeling stupid in 3...2..1.
  2. Personally, I wouldn't mind doing away with the mayor of NYC, but that's just me...
  3. I really don't understand this. What's the difference if someone drives a triaxle on-site for a dirt job (never touching the road) or someone driving a tractor? I don't see how it can possibly be regulated like that. DOT insurance? So, if my tractor slides down the hill and takes out my fence, I have to pay for the damage to the tractor and fence along with the insurance? This is totally screwed up. Just another government SNAFU coming down on the farms. Washington needs cleaned out. And for the NSA "operative" (don't want to be politically incorrect and offend someone, now) who is "monitoring" this forum, or "monitoring" my every move, I hope you choke. Canada looks better every day.
  4. I believe it. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess the cop was white? Take the sign away? Psssh.... you'll get shot and get designated a "racist" on the Communist News Network. That's the funny thing. As soon as you oppose them, you're a racist and a horrible person. They fail to realize all the wrong they have done. Granted we ALL make mistakes, and will continue to make mistakes, a lot of people own up to their wrong-doings. I know I do. But Sharpton carries himself above being able to do wrong. If you would go hold that sign, he and a lot of his followers, would know that you practically have him "dead to rights," so to speak. Therefore, they have to do whatever they can to take the negative attention away from them and onto you. All he has to say is something about you being in the wrong, then all of his sheep will follow him into believing that YOU are the wrong one. It's pathetic to see how narrow minded the general public is. When it comes to politics, we're our own worst enemy. People fail to sit back and think about what's really happening. They just sit around and believe whatever they are told, or follow the views of their favorite celebrity. That shit scares me.
  5. I don't remember....does that make me a racist?
  6. The way they use the race card in politics really chafes me. It's hard to believe these people of power are so low that they have to pull the race card out because they have no valid points to throw at their opposers. I don't disagree with Obama, Sharpton or Jackson because they are black, that's honestly the last reason. I don't give a shit if they were green. I just don't like their views. If you have to label me, and millions of other people as "racists" for the sole fact that you don't see eye to eye on your views, then I see you as straight out pathetic. If they still feel the need to play the victim card because of the situation that their ancestors were in (slavery; which I totally believe was wrong) they need to realize; A.) The white people didn't capture them. Other blacks captured them and sold them to whites. B.) If they think it's so bad here, I really don't think many people would care if they went back to whatever African village they came from. If Obama, Sharpton, and Jackson wished to go back, I'd buy their plane tickets. Guess that makes me a racist. End Rant.
  7. That's an awesome truck! You barely ever see the 325s, let alone air start as well!
  8. LOL, we all see the true story. Now, give it until tomorrow then we'll see that the liberal media (I.E. Every news channel other than Fox) makes O'Reilly out to be the bad person, while they're all too narrow minded to realize that Sharpton hates white people. Then all these other sheep will follow and miss the big picture. In the end, when the mean, mean white guy bashes the ever-so-innocent REVEREND (LOL) Sharpton, he is, in the end, deemed a racist. Welcome to America. On a side note, I probably shouldn't have read this. I'm too drunk for politics...
  9. Change over to a Eaton Fuller 9spd. We've always had trouble with 2090s. Shift fork problems as well...
  10. It's currently a lawn ornament, lol. But once it's fixed and ready to go, my dad is friends with someone that's big in the local gas well industry and he's going to put the truck to work
  11. It spun a rod bearing and cut the crank. The old man said something about having to get the block line-bored. We're looking for a running motor to just put in it and go...
  12. Not at the moment. I didn't even take these pictures, they're the ones my old man took... I'll get some more here soon whenever I go to pull the motor. I should've had it out by now, but I've been having pickup problems. If it ain't one thing, it's another...
  13. I hope I did it right, but here are some pictures of my R model. To sum it all up - 237 with a 300 pump (spun bearing), 6spd, flatbed w/rolling tail, Tulsa winch, dual straight pipes Mack.zip
  14. I worked for a cement plant for a year and the guy that owned the plant also owned a paving company, close to 100 trucks (Mixers, tri axles and tractors) and leased a stone quarry. I have been in a number of their trucks and pieces of equipment during my stint there. It amazed me how some people can trash a truck. Some of the trucks were filled with garbage like you wouldn't believe. Other guys just didn't care. One mixer stands out in my mind where the driver just did not wash it. Easily had a quarter inch to half an inch in some places of cement build up. It's a shame how someone can give you a job, pay you, and you practically kick them in the nuts by dragging down the image of the company by making their trucks look like crap. Granted there were some drivers that took care of their trucks like they owned them, but a handful of them acted like they were trying to destroy it. Yes, this is truck is rough, but it's nothing compared to some of the stuff I saw with that company...
  15. They way I see it is, if you need the truck back on the road ASAP, I'd inframe it, or swap in another Cummins. But if you have the time, I'd do the Mack swap. The E6 is one of the best motors ever made. Plus, like you said, the better fuel economy as well. I guess it all comes down to how bad you need it and what you want...
  16. The truck is right down the road from me. If anyone is interested I might be able to go check it out for you
  17. Crap trucks and job losses just to keep the air cleaner... 'merica!
  18. My old man knows them in and out, but when I have a question I often get the "I'd have to look at it" response. I'm going to end up doing most of the work on it because he works 40-65 hours a week and I work 40-45 hours a week at the moment. So I'm getting batism by fire so to speak. I do my own work on my pickups and I work on some equipment at work so I'm mechanically inclined. But working on big trucks is just opening a new chapter. Running this truck isn't going to be an every day affair. It's more of a specialty truck. My dad knows big wigs for a pipeline company and they said they'd put it to work once it's up and running, along with another gas company.
  19. I couldn't imagine going through that... I get jacked when I have to cut a tree up because it fell on the electric fence... I wish the best to everyone in that area
  20. Has anyone ever dealt with them? We're in the market for a tractor and I see their adds all over CL. Seems like they have a lot of stuff. Lisbon is about a 2 hour drive from where I live...just want to see if it's worth the drive out there...
  21. I read this the other day. But a few weeks ago I saw the same add but it was for a Jeep Cherokee. Almost like this guy just substituted "Jeep Cherokee" for "Ford F250" and "gas" for "diesel." Possibly vice-versa if he's the original poster and the Jeep guy is the leech...
  22. Seems like it's a pretty good deal. Not a big fan of Volvos because of the aerodynamic crap along with them being kinda ugly and everywhere...kinda like the stinkbugs of the road... but if I was you, I would've done the same thing, it was cheap and ready to work. Another thing I have against Volvo is they killed Autocar and are in the process of dragging Mack through the dirt...
