  1. Just an update. All your info was very helpful, along with the Climate Control manual. The door in the heater pleumun that divereted the air from floor to defrost was in the wrong position and the control cable was broke. Im going to rig up something here for a cable that will work that door. As the dash controls don't seem to move the cables enough. Thanks again for of your input
  2. I tied looking up the grilldenser but just like WATT's Mack they only list parts for conventinals. Mack old part # 210RD59310 new part # 25045679. Would anybody know if that is the same grill as a Superliner?
  3. would you be interested in a TRXL1070? Its completely rebuilt with around 3500 miles on it. It has a .62 overdrive. It's air shift
  4. Thanks for the info
  5. I need to order a grilldenser for my Cruiseliner. Mack wants $450 for it. Does anybody know of after market options?
  6. Well i'll be. I learn something everyday. Thanks.
  7. What is a U700? A heavy U600? Was that before the DM?
  8. LOL. "But the GPS said turn here. It cant be wrong." Whatever happened to real truck drivers? So sad
  9. Dirtymilkman. Ive been wondering. How do you keep the milk pump from freezing up? I haul milk here in N.H. part time and this winter its been tuff. Pumps freeze, valves on trailer freeze. We carry 5 gal jug of hot water in the compartment and it still freezes. Farmer and I were talking about the cold out youre way and wondering how that all works
  10. that offset cab is just a practice tool for you guys with hoods. Training you to one day day drive a Cabover. LOL. See, after you master sitting on the yellow line in the road we will take away the hood which aim it by. Local contractor had R's and CH's plus DM. I always went for the DM. He told me that DM stood for Dream Machine. It was the best going, handling, hauling truck in the fleet. I could haul more than the triaxles with that DM being a ten wheeler. Not legally but it handled it better. 285 with a 2 stick 6 speed.
  11. that's just plain cool!!! you guys are lucky. I know better than to try and start a Cruiseliner thread. LOL. Great pictures and stories.
  12. LOL. And youre right the "old style" looks better. Less grief too
  13. I take it youre deep reduction button is dash mounted? Hard to swap old style 15 speed knobs without replumbing. Go figure on the "cheap" knob working. Hard to say what to buy these days
  14. How do you explain to youre boss that ran into a train? "Ah, boss man, I didn't see know it was there because I didn't see any tracks"
  15. If people have to end their lives don't use someone else to do it. My father was coming out of Ontario with a load of dairy cows on 81 around Watertown when a woman commited suicide by jumping out in front of him. Made a mess of the truck but it was still drivable. The local fire dept and the state troopers were very helpful. Still, was a tuff day.
  16. I was I wondering about the "pre driving youre roads" comment myself. Kinda hard to pre drive a road if its 2000 mi away. But you should know youre limataions as well as that of youre equipment. Some of these pics sure get youre attention
  17. Thanks. Hey by the way Global Truck here in N.H. has a E9 500 for sale. Still in the truck. Has around 500.000 on it. Their asking $9500. To rich for my blood. Its in a 93 CL
  18. Did I read on here somewhere that the R in a hp rating means its a 350 for a 5 or 6 speed? as oppose to a standard 350 set up for say a ten or 13 speed. example E6 315R instead of a E6 315
  19. Yes I did. We were high bidder the first time it was listed. Made them an offer, they relisted it. We came to terms. Lol. Now I need more parts. Thank you for the turbo info.
  20. Just bought an 81 Mack that the turbo is missing. So I don't have a core. What direction can folks point me to for buying a new/reman turbo?
  21. WOW!! The driver survived that? That's scary looking
  22. My old boss told me that the DM Mack I drove was a "Dream Machine". That's what DM stood for. LOL. Great Video. Thanks for posting
  23. What was the name of the company on page one with the fleet of Superliners pulling bullracks?
  24. I doubt it would have pulled its self up the ramp backwards, maybe. BUT COE's are the easiest truck to load. just line youre self up with the edge of trailer. The rest will fit, especially on todays 102" wide trailers. Throttle jockeys
  25. That is interesting. Almost like that grill better than the one on an MH.
