You're welcome Vlad, we enjoy going and I enjoy taking pictures. I even enjoy that editing part. I read a review a while back about a "magic bullet" lens for a Nikon camera, an 18-300mm. lens. I would love to have one of those, but when I looked on Amazon it was a thousand dollar lens. But it would take the place of all the lenses I have now, which is only three. Then I could take everything from wide angle to super zoomed shots with that same lens. I just keep the smallest one I've got on the camera, but it doesn't have much zoom capability. If I used the next bigger one I have to be 50 yards away to get more than just a door in the frame, so I make do with what I've got. I should get a new memory card for Zina's camera and try that sometime. Her's doesn't have interchangeable lenses but it has awesome zoom, it's one of those super-powered P900's. It has 83x zoom, equivalent to a 24-2000 lens. And it takes great pictures. I have a Panasonic with 60x zoom that's my "everyday" camera. That's the one I used to carry in the truck, but the picture quality is not even close to the Nikon.

Oh...wow, that's a great idea, how come I never thought of that?
-
Almost forgot this one- it was in the motel parking lot. and here's a random girl working in the kitchen, from the internet.
-
By the way, all these pictures are still on my camera, full size and uncut if anybody wants me to send them any of them. I'm going to delete them, but I haven't yet. I delete mine every time I put them on the computer, Zina on the other hand has never deleted any off her camera since I gave it to her for Christmas several years ago. Which is like 2,200 pictures, I just looked. Good thing I got her a big memory card for it too.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear this too Dave, hadn't seen this thread in a while. But here's another link to the Macungie pictures in case anybody missed it on "Odds and Ends''.
-
thanks, I will check this out. I do mine one at a time, and usually crop people, golf carts, poles, or something out of every single one, that's what's so time consuming.

I was hoping to too, there were plenty of photo-worthy specimens there Friday, as it was close to 90 degrees. I just never...it would have been too obvious is I guess what i'm trying to say.😁

You are welcome 😁.

Well, I finally got my Macungie pictures posted to Flickr. Just click on the picture...and remember, I have over 10,000 pictures there for your viewing pleasure.

A few pictures from the land of the endless summer

yeah, and I kind of like that old 7400 White, don't see a lot of those any more. -

This International belongs to Charlie Tackaberry from Canada. They always have great looking trucks in Macungie, and this is one of the prettiest Internationals i've ever seen. This was one of Tackaberry's trucks too. They usually bring a blue Cannonball too, but it wasn't there this time.

You're absolutely right Vlad. I hope you can make it back to Macungie soon. We did have a great time, there were "half nekkid wimmens" (randyp,1984) everywhere Friday, but I didn't get any pictures, because...well, you know. And on Saturday Randy ( 1958 F.W.D. ) had the "tailgate party" which was great, and of course there was all those trucks to see! I'm resizing my pictures now, I take most of mine with my camera and if I don't resize them they take so long to download them. I usually end up cropping most of them while i'm at it too. I told Zina I didn't think they were as sharp this year as usual, but that might just be me. Or it might be that I was walking around with a dog on a leash in one hand, a hotdog in one hand, a drink in one hand, and the camera in one hand. Funny, I don't remember ever seeing this sign before. But I drank this on Friday, and it was delicious with Coke. I had a little "airplane bottle" of it at the tractor pull last week, and it was so good I bought this big bottle and brought it to Macungie.

I need one!

We paid $5 a gallon for gas somewhere on the way home Saturday. I think we were still in Pa. It was $4.37 here over at the Walmart store yesterday, so we filled up again.
-
Yesterday was hot, around 88 degrees I think, I was walking around sweating. This morning it was 63, cloudy, and windy, with gusts up to 25mph. the weather thingy said. I made fun of Zina for packing a jacket when we left, and this morning I was wishing I had one. I didn't even have a long sleeve shirt, and it was cold with that wind blowing and no sun!
-
Yes, we missed you too, Zina was wondering if you could make it. I'm not sure on the final count, but it was over 700 the last report I heard. There was still a lot of trucks coming in this morning-

I saw another picture, it was Albanese Asphalt Paving.

No, I do not.

Here's a few from Macungie. I have many more on my camera, I'll put them on Flickr and post a link when I get home. Sticker I bought-

well, that's pretty much my situation. I have a little over $1900 deposited in my account every munt, and by the time you take taxes, insurance, and road expenses out of what I was making, there's not a hell of a lot of difference.

This is sad but true. It saddened me that on the anniversary of D-Day more people on facebook thought that the song "Convoy" was the most significant thing to happen on June 6th. More people were posting about "the dark of moon on the 6th. of June in a kenworth hauling hogs...blah-blah-blah" than they were the invasion of Normandy.

I just happened upon it when I was flipping through the channels on TV a few years ago. Then a couple of weeks ago I watched it from the beginning for the first time. But I googled something about it and ran across some reviews of the movie and most everyone talked about how real it depicted being in a tank crew. I still want to go to the tank museum in Danville, VA.
