  1. Spent all day trying to get it into the basement. Had to take the filter and safety valve off and the clearance was only half an inch. Next came the duct work on the ceiling to clear. About 2:00 p.m. finally got it where I wanted it....I think....I just installed it where my Sears 2HP, 20 gal. was sitting. I've had the Sears since 1977. It has been the most used tool in my shops. It's like the TIMEX watch. Takes a lickin and keeps on Tickin. :)

    nice hat

  2. Why? They were only flat-spotted on 1 side....probably only affected less than 10% of the tire, so they should still be +90% usable :tease:

I still have them, they're laying out here by the shed. You're certainly welcome to 'em, come pick 'em up anytime.

  3. sounds like the first time I drove the mixer on the road. I'd made many laps around the shop and when I finally got it licensed and insured I was gonna drive it home but it bounced so bad I had to make a u-turn and take it back to the shop at H.H.Moore's. Had to replace all the studs on the front wheels because that short trip bent every one of them. The only thing those front tires were good for was keeping the axle off the ground.

Be sure to post more pictures after you pressure wash it and wax it.

  4. George Bush, Queen Elizabeth, and Vladimir Putin all die and go to hell.

While there, they spy a red phone and ask what the phone is for. The devil tells them it is for calling back to Earth.

Putin asks to call Russia and talks for 5 minutes. When he was finished the devil informs him that the cost is a million dollars, so Putin writes him a check.

Next Queen Elizabeth calls England and talks for 30 minutes. When she was finished the devil informs her that cost is 6 million dollars, so Queen Elizabeth writes him a check.

Finally George Bush gets his turn and talks for 4 hours. When he was finished the devil informed him that there would be no charge for the call and feel free to call the USA anytime.

When Putin hears this he goes ballistic and asks the devil why Bush got to call the USA free.

The devil replied, ¨Since Obama became president of the USA, the country has gone to hell, so it's a local call.

You know all the problems facing Mr. Obama are George Bush's fault!..it's all because of guns, that's what it is-nobody should be allowed to have a gun in this country except my bodyguards.

  5. Since some of you enjoy showing off your new toy's, I would like to show off my new toy. As of yesterday, 6:30a.m. a USA Holland semi backed up into my new shed and drop-kicked it over the cliff in my back yard, completely destroying it. Now I gotta git me another shed-think i'll make one out of a USF Holland van!

    wow, bummer!

  6. My point exactly and the same with pick up trucks. Mine may not get the best gas mileage in the world but neither will a 2009. Wow a whopping 25 mpg which is an estimate. By the time you figure in driving style, how much weight you put on it or what you two on a daily basis you'll round out to about 15 mpg so your not really saving any money. Like you said the only difference is your making a payment on it every month and not really seeing a savings. I noticed that with new trucks is there seems to be so many problems with them mainly engines/emission control crap that no wonder why so many guys are going out of business. Blame California and their over regulated emissions crap.

That's the biggest problem we have with a fairly new fleet of trucks- "emission control crap". I pick up the free newspapers at truckstops, "Movin' Out". The "Pittsburgh Power" (pittsburghpower.com) guys have an article in it every month and they explain how they can get 8-10 mpg. out of an engine along with 700+ hp. Good stuff. Expensive i'm sure, but you can tell they know their stuff, no Pelosi.

  7. Rob, it really makes me fill very sad to think of you not having any grandkids........but,if you will leave for another week so I can get to know Nikki alittle better then i'll be glad to help you and momma out so you can rejoice. :thumb: we can call him MACK "SUPERLINER" SANDERS. :SMOKIE-LFT:

    LET ME KNOW SOON!!!

  8. Beware of the free crap that is advertised on the net. Anyone offering you anti-virus, spyware, registry or tuneup scans through a pop up or banner ad is pure bull s**t, same goes for other software such as photo editing. Instead Use known and trusted antivirus and other security related softeware.

First off I would recommend ClamWin which is based on the free and open source ClamAV which is used on many large (and small) email servers to catch email viruses before they reach the client. I also reccomend AVG antivirus which has a free version that is both free to download and free to use. AVG does make it a bit confusing to find it at times because they would prefer you pay for the software which does have perks such as anti root-kit protection (the worst type of virus). There are also a few other good scanners that are free to download and use such as Super antispyware, ad-aware and malware bytes anti malware. All of which I have used to clean out infected PC's with good results (although I will admit some are so badly infected its almost impossible to clean them out 100% - the dreaded root-kit is the main culprit).

As for image editing tools, paint.net is free to download and use and is very powerful. Also the free and open source GIMP is excellent too. I does have a dumb name but stands for: GNU Image Manipulation Program.

Paint is what I use. I have Avast anti-virus protection because Old Bill reccomended it to me when my Norton expired. He uses the pro version, I use the free version which he said was all I needed. I've been well satisfied with it. I've heard and seen in online reviews that AVG is the best though.

  9. I never said I wouldn't do manual labor, but hell if you ask me any job these days is considered manual labor. Even an office job is manual labor because you got to type on a keyboard to produce documents and someone has to be the coffee slave. I couldn't do an office job, I don't want to deal with gossip that ain't my thing. Everyone tells me they see me in a suit and tie, yeah in a suit and tie owning my own business is the only way I see myself in an office type job.

let me know if you need any help when you get up and running, I can make decent coffee.

  10. I never was much to do manual labor but if it needs to be done I'll do it.

making small rocks out of big rocks is a worthwhile endeavor-you can always use a smaller rock. it you make them really small you can go into the sand and gravel bidness.

  11. I have a yellow H cabover on my December calendar. I will try to post that later for you to tinker with. Same here, I just don't feel like going out to play in the snow today.

I saw it was snowing in Pittsburgh yesterday. Watched one of the best football games ever, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.

I had a yellow H-model I took at a truck show but it was turned to the front a little too much.
