  1. I used to think Rob was, until he tried to turn around in a corn field with 2 feet of snow on it. Another dream shattered...
  2. I looked at the same pictures on Hank's. If you were man enough to admit it I guess I will be too-I also was wrong.
  3. Duluth is right across the bridge you can see to the rear of the ship. Actually this is a different ship, but you can see the bridge to Minnesota behind it.
  4. Cherished and valued by me too, especially the part about this being the best site with the best people. Barry probably doesn't get near the credit he deserves for a job well done. Hmmmmm..."The Adventures of Barry,Super Hero"...I don't know, needs work. It's just not as catchy as Spot the Wonder Dog.
  5. I thought of the Edmund Fitzgerald as soon as I saw it. Here's some more pictures of it. It was so big it was hard to even get the whole ship in one picture.
  6. Nice looking Marmon-I like it I do wish I could find a model kit like that now though-looks like the same one I got for my younger brother for Christmas one year...about 40 years ago.
  7. yup, could be the best yet!
  8. Oh yeah,I went to Orchard Park, unloaded, then picked up some beams in Erie and went to Superior Wisconsin. Came back down to Chicago and picked up some stainless steel sheets- actually 6 lifts in Gurnee, then I had to layover to get one more lift in Franklin Park. That put me in snow, rain, sleet, snow, hurricanes, typhoons, hail storms, and snow all the way from about Lafayette,In. to Lewisburg,W.V. Unloaded yesterday at Oneal Steel in Madison Heights then had to go to Petersburg to load. And that had to be tarped too,55' beams going to Cincinnati. Saw a big boat in Superior-it was big as a ship.
  9. Probably the just type of clutch. I drove a cabover KW with the ceramic clutch disc and it would shake the cab starting off loaded. When the wheels started turning you just had to let off it and go,couldn't slip it much and ease off it or you'd get a whole lot of cab shaking going on. Or, much like a 5 speed Mack, you can take off in low and soon as the wheels turn you can shift to the next gear.
  10. Possibly...no telling what he was up to.
  11. Other Dog was wildly excited too!
  12. "flood the cab with soapy water"...I don't get it. How deep should the water be in the cab? Does it have to be full to the ceiling,to the top of the dash, or is just up to the seats enough?
  13. Me too, that's the best news i've heard!
  14. I'm a member too and had to jump through lots of hoops to post a picture of a steerable dolly I used to pull that was made out of a Mack truck chassis. Then after I jumped through all the hoops I still couldn't post the picture. I've sent them ATHS Truck Show pictures that are posted there-and they're posted through someone else's name, they never even told me thanks,go to hell, kiss their ass...nothing. I'll keep reading the magazine and going to a show when I can but I don't even bother looking at the ATHS website anymore.
  15. cain't beat that gorilla tape.
  16. I need to get me a bumper sticker like that.

  19. Guess the stress gets to everybody...more than some can bear.
  20. Ah-hah!..finally found it. Don't know if this truck is still available, I also saw it somewhere for sale cheaper, but it really doesn't look bad for the price.Probably was listed in Wheels of Time or something. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?showtopic=9468
  21. Hey,just noticed another birthday today-happy birthday David!
  22. I've passed this place many times. Thought about dropping my trailer at the Cowpens truckstop and bobtailing over to take a look around, but haven't done it yet.
  23. Now for the real story-
  24. Jeff told me I should carry a gallon of gas too-just in case the truck catches fire.
