  1. It would take me 2 nights to complete that mission.
  2. Is that hatcity's car?
  3. The Gateway! Thank you, that's what i've been trying to remember for 2 days.
  4. looking closer...I think it is you Bob! By the way, you sure kept your windshield clean.
  5. Used to go through Breezewood all the time in the 80's. Used to come up 522 out of Winchester, then take 70 to Breezewood and get on the turnpike. Breezewood looked like New York City at night, to me anyway, with all the motels, restaurants, truckstops, and everything was lit up. It was several years before I ever saw it in the daytime, and it didn't look nearly as impressive. I drove a 74 Transtar with a VT903. I liked it, it would out pull most of the 290's we had...plus it sounded great.
  6. you sure?
  7. I went out to get the paper this morning, and passed through Winfall on the way to the paper box. Had to stop and wait while this girl pushed a big wooden block out of the road. I think maybe she wanted me to give her a hand with it, I didn't know for sure though, so I didn't.
  8. Sighted this one on facebook today.
  9. 6 hours later, engine swap completed, Freightrain is ready to hit the road.
  10. Now that '59 Tucker is a neat looking machine! I've only been in New Hampshire a couple of times. We went north on 91 in Vermont, crossed into New Hampshire, went a little farther north to a job site. Hauled structural steel up there, not very far into N.H, it was just a little ways across the river from Vermont, but I can't remember the name of the place. That was in the '80's, I was driving a cabover KW.
  11. here's a picture if that helps any, I think Swishy first posted this. If you can't find a plate a truck letterer or sign place could probably print this onto a decal for you.
  12. that's seriously what the KB 12 has in it, it's around the 2:40 mark in the video.
  13. I have loaded there before Brocky, but not recently. Probably been 10 or 12 years or more.
  14. Happy birthday clujo, Jobyna said to kiss her a happy birthday too.
  15. Yeah, sure you did Jim. We know you only run from Pittsburgh to Sharon to Morgantown to Moorefield to Romney to Altoona to Fairmont to Uniontown to Washington and back to Pittsburgh every night. Hard to pull the wool over our eyes, we're pretty sharp!
  16. Do y'all remember Pharoah's Truckstop? I used to love stopping there. A 16 ounce T-bone steak dinner was $7. That was the one place I always made it a point to stop at when I went up 81. Because of the food of course, not the mini skirts . Then somebody else took it over and it wasn't nearly as good, now it's closed.
  17. Thanks veeight, I really had no clue what it was, it's certainly a neat looking truck though. The magazine was right about the "head turner" part- I would drive that!
  18. Reminds me of the guy in Arizoner with the KB12 International. He said "it's got a 13 speed with a 3 speed Browny and a 2 speed rear axle, which gives me 78 forward speeds".
  19. are you looking for a Quadruplex transmission, or just the sift pattern?
  20. Thanks, I just quoted the caption, I had no idea what it was. I've seen another one of them on Hank's Truck Pictures, but I wasn't about to repost that one! Cool looking truck though. And thanks for the other info!
  21. I had no idea. It was very small by today's standards though, wish i'd known what a camera was back then. I just did a google image search for Euclid trucks, and this looked most like what I remember. The one I drove had the stack coming through the hood- no muffler, just a straight pipe, about 2 feets tall.
  22. isn't a liter just over a quart? that would come out to around the same price then...pretty close I guess. I was thinking of driving to Moscow to fuel up next time, but since it's so close going that far out of route probably wouldn't be worthwhile.
