We were on a party line with several other families around the area. When the phone rang, it rang at everybody's house so you had to know "your" ring- it could be 1,2, or 3 rings, and they could be long rings or short rings, or any combination. Ours was 3 long rings. Everybody knew everybody else's ring too, because some people would ease the receiver up and cover the mouthpiece with their hand and listen to other people's conversations...I heard people would do that anyway, I don't have any firsthand knowledge of it.

what's a trail groomer? You have to make a snowmobile trail with them before the snowmobile will go?

I have no idea either, might find somebody with a hidden stash of film on e-bay or something. I once had a Kodak disc camera that took good pictures, but they quit making film for it.

That was the first camera I ever had! Ma gave it to me when she got a new one because the flash quit working. Took great pictures when you didn't need the flash though.

I always put a rubber strap on my throttle, in addition to the throttle return spring, after finding out the hard way that if the spring was to fail it would run wide open.

I know you don't think he ever does anything, but I caught him in an action position too- as a matter of fact, he's outside barking at something now. He just likes to store up energy until he really needs it.

Don't watch much TV myself- if it ain't on a weekend, I don't see it. I get most of my info and entertainment here on BMT, where I know it's all factual, useful info- except that b.s. I post myself, I don't believe none of that stuff.
