  5. after the year i had i believe i owe myself one full day of TRUCKS TRUCKS And more TRUCKS. I will bring a nice pocket of cash to shop and have a great day. Dont think my wife would enjoy it all that much
  6. Guys at the risk of being laughed at i have never been to this show or any truck show. How long a ride from NYC to the show and could i go for the day ? Can i buy old brochures and pictures
  7. I'm sure you wouldnt want to put a 10 -11 hour day in it . Can you imagine the ride sitting on them wheels all day ?
  8. alot of those trucks were working in the tunnel and would get covered in this wet sandy material. I know the company i was working for at the time was sending all the old DMs to work in there, They wouldnt send anything new there. That is one reason you see alot of the older trucks there
  9. My buddy drove a truck in a few scenes in that movie . They used a lot of local trucks that were working on the new aqueduct that ran underground from upstate to the city.
  10. thats one of the reasons besides the picture of course that I look forward to this everyday
  11. i would love to crawl around that Suzio yard taking pictures and exploring. Are they receptive to truck people like us ?
  12. This Philly thread is giving NY a run for the money. Love those D"Angelo all green 10 wheelers especially that steel nose R model
  13. Kind of looks like a fiberglass DM-800 if they made one
  14. Ok how about we call it a Brack? Like the Seinfeld episode with the BRo or Manzeer
  15. Geez when i think about the racket we used to make in the rolloffs that used to do the night work in NYC hammering down 3 wide on 2nd av with the engine brakes ripping thru the open pipes not to mention the box crashing up and down on the rack . Ahhh to be 23 years old again
  16. Not sure where to post this but since the show I was watching was in the mid west i guess i will post it here. The show took place on the road and there was a sign on the side of the road that said Engine brake use prohibited . I haven't seen that here in NYC . Is that a common thing out west?
  17. Wow love the colors on this . I dont know if JDP on Long Island ever ran B models but if they did this was it
  18. Great find James. Looks like a good sized boneyard across the street from the office building. Any reason they wont sell?
  19. Good man for remembering the men behind these truck. My interests a are sand & gravel and roll offs for the same reasons as yours thats what i drove for the better part of 20 years. Thanks to all who offered me help with posting pictures. I think to make it real easy i will take my I pad with me and take pictures with that and upload directly to the BMT site, Wow kind of sounds like I know what Im doing
  20. Brother just wanted to thank you for this continuing Mack of the day that you do. I look forward to it everyday. It would be nice to have one for NJ, NY and Mass-CT as well. I took some pics on my I-phone at the risk of sounding like a complete computer idiot how could i share them
  21. that is actually an adapter for the Nederman system . a hose attaches to the adapter on the stack and captures the exhaust when the truck is started, Its on a runner that follows the truck out the door and falls off as the truck exits quarters. I am not sure why the hose cant just hook on to the regular stack
  22. Id swear one of those trucks was an old Lizza truck ,in fact there aint much difference in what Lizza was runnin a few years ago and these trucks
