Talk about old we are still running 3 1/3 supply line with a humat lol and our hose is from 1977 to 1980.

This is somthing the fire service don't understand, our MB has a 237 and a 5 speed it has 41,xxxx miles on it and everyone that's not a Mack fan thinks the truck is shot because of the mileage. At 41 thousand its still a baby.

Yeah those are the bodies I ment. I'm assume those trucks above all have front drive axles in them. Thanks for posting these pictures, I would post the one I have but its from a un named web site that don't approve of sharing.

Hi Shawn I'm still new to all with too. My truck dose the same thing, it smokes at idle and as soon as I move it there's no more smoke. My truck sat for 10 or 15 years and 5 plungers were stuck in the pump, I had to get them freed up for my truck to start. May be that's why my truck still smokes a little I'm not sure I can't take it on the road to see if it clears up all together, oh and welcome to the form.My name is Shawn and I am new to this forum and to Macks. I just recently bought a new project, a 1954 B-61 with the Thermodyne engine in it. Just started tinkering with it a little and have a quick question, first of many I am sure. The truck smokes when its cold which is understandable, I am from Connecticut so it has been chilly lately, and after it warms up when I drive it the smoke goes away. But if I sit there and let it idle for a minute or two after its warmed up it starts to smoke again, smells like unburned fuel, so its as if the injector pump is giving it too much fuel just when left to sit to idle for a few minutes. I do not really know what is causing this, possibly a plunger sticking in the pump. I am not too sure. Also, I took it for the first actual drive down the road yesterday and did not seem to smoke at all really even when pulling a fairly steep hill. I don't know if this could help explain the problem more. I don't know much about these trucks yet and just trying to learn all that I can. Thanks for your help. And I know you guys like pictures, I'll be adding them soon. Thanks, Shawn.

I'm looking for a set of Mack 55,000 rears that have the 30/30 style spring brakes. I'll be putting them under a b81 that has the old style brakes. Thanks
Rudy.

Strangest trucking movie i think i ever saw is "Deadhead Miles" really strange! i like this part, when he knocks the truck out of gear, lets go of the wheel, the sound of the other guy screaming is priceless!....................................Mark
I never saw all of "Deadhead Miles" but of the parts i seen i like when the truck brakes down and that guy dressed in black shows up in that old black dodge and tells him "diesel not like gas you can run down hill against the compression without some bodies going to pay the price"

Dave that Orange color that these dumps are painted is that a Mack color because that's the orange I want to paint my truck.Rudy, M-series were built in Allentown, Macungie and Oakville, Ont. I hauled some of these, despite their balky size, they were easy to load and haul. I don't have any pictures of one on a trailer, but we either hauled them on an I-beam, or backed them on a deck, and stadled the deck with the front tires to get the height down. Pictures taken at Gerharts, sometime mid / late 1070's

Thanks for posting the email link.Mack's recordkeeping was impeccable, however it's not guaranteed; there is a very good chance that with your VIN they can and will get you VIN-specific build sheets, driveline pick sheets (inlcuding SN's) and the purchasing customer and dealer it was sold through, among the wealth of other information they provided. See my previous post for the contact name and email, and yes there is a wait of approx 8 weeks but well worth it.

I guess I should of done this last year already,I been itching to know some things about my truck like if the engine is original and weather it was a dump or mixer and may be who bought it originally. I was told that they can print out attachments for my truck like the air brake system and power steering system. Thanks again guys for all your imput.

yeah that's not too far from me.They were at Boots and Hanks off of Keyser Avenue in Scranton about two years ago. They may still be there... When it dries up a little I am going to take a ride down at lunch to see if they're still there. If you're in the Lehigh Valley you're not too far...

Thank you, all that looks funny (to me).
Most comments conteins of "let's go" (davay', davay') in the beginning and the bunch of "f***'s" continueing.
The words "you tore the shit out of the frame" were really in there but a little later, about KrAZ front tow hook.
On the minute 2.00 the guy asked the driver about towing his Scania right after that.
And the last comment was "look at, the trailer is Ok!".
57BCR, you don't need to disturb Superdog, that Renault is not the one with E9 but a small other. They are also avalible in Australia by the name of Quantum.
Vlad what is that truck in the middle, the one the frame broke off ? That is a mean looking truck

hard to get ''Black Beauty'' here in Ny anymore. its the best in my opinion but i use to pay 3-6 bucks a 100lb bag for it and now its like 21 bucks a back so everyone carries the cheaper stuff. its black slag, but doesnt cut and clean like black beauty did. i usually just take my bigger pieces to a blastin place. the smal stuff i dont mind but for time and money its cheaper in the long run to have someone do it whos set up for it with an industrial blaster and they recycle the sand.
Matt i regret not taking as much as i could because its most likely still there and the place closed down 2 years ago.
