My dept had a 66 Pioneer, it was long gone before I got there but the guys still tell stories of it.

I'll be there maybe there will be a nice truck I can buy.

My friends dad has been driving truck since the mid 50s and he said he drove every single truck out there except for one of theses.

I have a dm800 question. How come they still are fairly expensive, I mean from a hobby standpoint. I'm guessing because there still being worked or is it the exporters driving the price up.

another thing I was wondering is what quad box is in it? what about the turbo setup?

Quad box has compound stick stuck in low split. I would part the truck out if it's worth my wile.

I have a b81 radiator it's the one that sticks up about an inch higher then the hood. The core is in good shape and I do have a badge,cap and bail to go with it. I also have a complete power steering setup also, everything but the lines at least. I have the driver side 50 gal fuel tank in decent condition.

Never seen that style of glove box interior...is it factory? The only ones I have seen are the black cardboard type inserts...myaber earlier? Maybe they did not have the formed cardboard in the fifties?

this glove box came out of the blue b61 I had it was titled a 65 but had the windshield wiper pump under the dash I was told that was 59 and back.

This cab was not originally from a b81 the floor was rotted out so I had no shame of modifing, it can be changed back. The vent windows are both in good shape rot wise they do need new rubber and to be re chromed. Asking 400 for cab and 40 for glove box pm me for price if vent windows.I added a few more small things for sale checkoit the pic

Any of you guys ever see the movie dead head miles ? It was a pretty bad movie but it was also interesting, when the blacked out cabover dodge shows up and fixes there truck........

Funny you mention that.....I just joined a Chevy Silverado forum and started asking questions about an aftermarket air intake and dual exhaust........and yeah I feel like I'm an intruder.

I bet they told you it's been talked about before and told you to search the site for another thread I see that a lot, that's why I don't bother joining them.

I'm not a member of any other sites like this but I do go on a lot of them for tech info. I agree with what your saying about other forums the rules are vary strict the people only have a sense of humor when there bashing someone for asking a simple question. This is by far the best forum I have been on, that goes for the members too.

Rudy, your killin me, all the work you have done?? find a doner DM and swap the engine, tranny and rears into the B81 already!

I still need parts I can't find and I found out all 4 of the eagle claws are almost broke, I seen some small cracks before but apon further investigation I don't feel comfortable welding them and driving the truck.

Rudy,there was a truck like what your talking about down here in Philly sometime ago.It was owned by ABC Construction out of Bensalem PA.We had owned that truck at one time,it was one of our lube truck that we had.

I seen a truck like that on Craig'slist last year but it looked like I seen better days.

go to commercial truck trader and search 1968 DM607S fuel truck. looks like a decent old truck and not really priced out of line. says it has a 237 and 2 sticks. at Donovans Used Cars in VA.

I have a DM600 steel front end also, including the radiator complete with bulldog!!!

If you can't find one,I have a complete steel front for a '67 DM600,you could convert a fiberglass hood into one.

As far as the rest of the truck goes I want something in decent/fare shap that dose not need a 100% resto. I would't be ready until march to buy the truck because I have to get rid of the b81 that I have so I'm kinda just throwing this out there now. I'm not looking to wast anybody's time ether. yes it looks decent in pics but is kinda rough but anything is rebuildable. All the sheet metal is bent, broke, rusted through. Cab is really rough , not much floors left there is wooden planks laid across with a milk crate for a seat. Fuel tank is shot and on and on.

wow mine at least has the factory air seat lol

That truck looks about the same shape as mine is and let me tell ya all said and done the only original body panel that will be left on my truck will be one inner fender and the drivers door, I would definitely look for another truck first.
