Does anone know where to look for the brake light switch?Thanks,EricHi Eric my stop light switch is on the inside of the drivers side frame rail behind the cab it has 2 wires going into the top mine has a plastic top on it that looks like it comes off but I never took it apart mine was a broken wire. mine is a 1957 B61 I don't know if all used the same switch or not hope this helps . Shouldn't be too hard to come up with one as probably the same as used today?Check to see if wires are broke at switch before replacing it. Touch them together and see if lights work. vanscottbuilders Posted January 8, 2009 Share Posted January 8, 2009 The brake light switches that have the removeable top aretypically rebuildable. It's just a diaphragm that contacts twoposts to complete the circuit when air pressure causes the movement.Rebuilding them is cheaper than buying new. EAWheat Posted January 14, 2009 Author Share Posted January 14, 2009 Hello,I had a chance to look at the wiring on my truck over the weekend. My brake light switch has two wires and is connected to some copper tubing that comes out of the brake treadle. The switch is on the left frame rail behind the cab.
