In their original form, what was the layout of the Superliner dual headlights.

In other words, which light(s) should be lit on hi-beam, and which light(s) should be lit on lo-beam.

I confess that I have no idea how they were arranged on any classic vehicle with dual headlights, but I assume there was some standard or even a law? ?

Fun is what they fine you for!

If you are talking quad, the outside bulb is dual filament and has both high and low beam, inside is single and is high beam only.  SO outside always on, either low or high beam filament energized, inside is only on with the outside high beam.
