Better get a manual, i think the older series of front rears on a standard power divider to change to air operated i think the outer cam on power divider had splines that engaged front and rear end, and that entails taking front rear apart.   terry:MackLogo:

The outer cam is different.  It has clutching teeth for the sliding clutch which is in its own housing mounted on the front of the cam housing..  making it longer on the front end. I should go get my book and post pictures, but I cant right now.

Fjh ??? Do you recall having to do anything inside the rear end when converting frow auto to air locking power divider. I dont... i thought the main housing is the same, but the outer cam drum is longer and has the clutching teeth for the sliding clutch and fork , whos housing bolts on to the main P.D. housing.  I think setting tooth pattern and backlash is checked and adjusted if needed. I dont remember having to change the bevel gear set.

I should dig out some of my old manuals, but isn’t the outer cam and pinion gear all one piece? Maybe i’m off base here?   Terry:MackLogo:  please correct me if i am wrong 😁Or is the outer cam splined to the pinion shaft with a nut?

I have a 200 series front diff with air actuated style power divider laying in my shop as a spare or parts.

Unfortunately I dont have a non-air actuated style to compare parts with, but I know the outter cam is different like Joey said because it has teeth for the sliding clutch. The sliding clutch slides on the input shaft to lock it to outter cam ( thus engaging power divider)

Asfar as the main power divider housing,  I dont know if they are different,  but I took a picture of the part# for you to compare to yours.  Its a 36KN59 casted on the top side of the housing.  I dont know if any of this helps, but I thought id post it incase you need part numbers from a air actuated 200 series power divider.

Pinion is the same the housing is likely different ! because of the sliding clutch So he needs the outter cam and the housing and the actuator housing to complete this and hopfully he has enough slip on the drive shaft to compensate for length! or he will need to shorten!
