Today was productive. Got the whole truck sprayed down and pressure washed today. Blasted a lot of the chipping paint off the box body and quite a bit of the decal residue off the sides and cab and it turned white again and not grey... Got fuel gauge working, electric horn all lights on the box and cab working. The Air dryer is now purging like it should so we are making progress.

Turn signals and flashers are still an issue but the manual showed up today from Ebay so now I can really start figuring things out.

Was hoping my 3100 psi pressure washer would blow off all the cracked and peeling paint to bare metal. So I'll have to get more invasive I guess to figure out how to get the Decals that are left, and the paint off the box. If any body / paint experts have some ideas I'm all ears.

Excellent usually ZEP truck wash will take off lettering heat gun for plastic labeling , striping also time consuming for removing the plastic but it slides right off with the heat gun but no matter what you do you’re still gonna tell we’re all that stuff was. Your  not going to avoid shooting the box with fresh paint. Thanks for the updates. I really like it myself.let’s giterdone… bob

You should go old school get a bunch of silver grey  paint and a roller 

Roll over the whole box mask off the moldings not sure how old you are but back on that day. They were all just plain aluminum. I don’t know when they decided to paint everything white.
