Too funny bud. Truth is... Making sure all was assembled correctly and gear timing was correct, and rolling the engine to Zero at TDC, then rolling it backwards to remove gear lash, then back to 29 BTDC. , and having a pump set correctly, all just fell in place. This was my first ENDT -673,. I feel good about it.

I hope to fire it up in less that a year, but this is for a frame off restoration and the quality of the build is tops..

less then a yr good news. I know my" pump timing is off" .will know in November  course of action.  I went and checked out the superliner I've been given the honor to babysit. it fired right up and I moved it couple hundred ft back/forth to check brake system. like the song Cher sings "If I could turn back time "" .

I was able to climb up and push the clutch pedal down surprised me . to start that V-8 and listen while the air built up . has 12 speed / brakes where froze just a little = not bad, if I was able to take for a test ride as in days of old. no longer hold a CDL for starters,

Dammit, an RW with an E-9 and a 1070 B..  Perfect !!!  I want to drive it.  I went to buy one for the same guy i built the ENDT -673 for.  Wife and i drove 3 hours to get the RW. It had an E-6 with a 1070B.  I was proud to drive it to my house.

one positive : you can no longer say next ENDT-673 is your first. LOL has me attempting a memory trip :: can't remember the first actual full rebuilt. I can pat myself on the back to say ::I rebuilt the engine in the first R model 1001/R607T built. that was an out of frame build.

If I  am thinking right ! ( really after two yukon jacks );; esi is for Extended  Service  Intervals . ==2 spin on oil filters  :: the ESI + is 3 spin on filters ???  . don't recall where the main feed line to older large filter went to engine block ?/

You are correct, but hes working with what appears to be a remote oil filter system, which I'm unfamiliar with.  The size of the oil pan also plays a role in ESI/ESI+.  The. ESI+ is 56 quarts, the ESI i think is in the 36 quart range

Including filters!

what a P I A  those super large oil pans were . more oil equaled longer oil change intervals ==  E S I +. wasn't bad swapping two 5 gal pails under drain plug. E S I +  trying to jockey three or more 5 gallon pails as hot oil is running.
