I have a Mack E6 motor with a Mack 6 Speed 2 stick transmission. I am going to pull off the Mack transmission an replace it with a Fuller 7 speed transmission that came off a Mack E7 motor.

I know the bolt holes line up but will it fit the input shaft on the transmission and is the bell housing the same length or anything else . The E6 motor had a 14” clutch and the E7 had a 15” clutch ?

E-6 will accept the E-7 flywheel for the 15 1/2" clutch. Input shaft is the same 2" shaft. Bell housing on the eaton can be removed and fitted With a Mack bell housing...

question for the teacher> does the 14 use a 2 in shaft same as the 15?? not a 1 1/2 ? torque HP different in today's world, is this conversion taking a E-7 flywheel =installing on an E-6 crankshaft using the clutch/ pressure plate assy from E-7.? interest due to situation many yrs back ;; not to off topic BUT! built a U-600 glider for company. technically it was a U=611ST . Mack 673 T with a RT 9513 RR. did you know a 1 1/2 pilot shaft will work in a 2 in double disc clutch for over a yr !!LOL

On Eaton/Fuller you can swap in either input, but everyone uses 2" now. All I ran except my Marmon was 14" organic 2" shaft. Haven't had the trans or clutch out on the Marmon, but would bet it is 15.5 puck.

When i did the flywheel swaps the same trans went right back in.. 2" input..

since this was a flywheel/ transmission swap 'not just flywheel . I couldn't remember. Thanks.

Teachers assistant will comment that the 14 inch and 2 inch combo was most  common on the 1200 series trans and the 11/2 was odserved by me to be more on the 95 series’s trans!
