Will a Mack diesel match up with the current trans or would I need a trans as well? also do I have to have the big air filter on the exterior of the hood? tjc transport Posted February 13 Share Posted February 13 i would say new trans, i would imagine a diesel will have way too much torque for the gas trans in the truck and will tear it up in no time. 1 Quote when you are up to your armpits in alligators, it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..
