Brian is correct. I would add that if your truck still has the 12/24-volt system and you are going to buy batteries, you can use 2 -12 volt batteries instead of the 4- 6 volts.

Thanks to all who responded,  great info, I think there is 4 sixes in there now with the s p switch. Working on fixing rusty floors and lower doors,would love to find a drivers side front fender,cost more to fix I think, and the removable  panels between the fenders and hood, there missing. Thanks again to everyone

That’s the way they all came 4-6,s but yes these guys are correct when the batteries go out you’re better off to put 2 big 12,s … bob
