New Dogs tired out the Old Dog

There have been a few good old dogs that have past in the past months. One of them was my St. Barnard in May. He out lived all of the 9 in his litter by almost 2 years, so he had a really good happy life, he was almost 11 1/2 years old. His buddy, the black jelly bean in the photo an Australian Shepherd is now 8 and was lost until now. We did not want another 150lbs dog, just for the size, The St Barnard was the best dog I ever had. Doing a lot of searching for the perfect puppies to keep him going for a number of years we fond a litter pure breed Karakachan's, Bulgarian Shepherds, and 12 weeks old today. There are only about 1400 of them in the county, we had a 2000 mile, 3 day road trip home with them, they traveled Great.  The new ones should top out at 100lbs which is plenty. This is all 3 after an hour of play, a kibble and a little fresh fish dinner, nap time. Then up in an hour or so to start over. They are super smart for their age. Man these puppies are full of a lot of #1 and #2, and already know the pee pad locations if we do not get them out the door in time.

Cool dogs. We’ve got one younger German Shepherd (just turned 3 yesterday) and his mother and aunt who turned 10 at the end of June. He keeps them young for sure.

Nothing like a dog for company . I like German Shepards or dogs about that size.

I'm thinking maybe a turtle, put them in fridge, go on a trip and thaw them out when you get home.

Yep, thought I was done in May with one dog gone and one to go. That was short lived, a good dog is a great friend. He even listened to all the yelling with the wife and still came over to lick my hand to say he was still my friend. Always happy to see me, eat with me, sit with me, even more than the wife.... Maybe that is why I got two puppies this time.  If you don't have a dog that can defend and protect you what is the sense of having a dog? A friend is nice but one with big teeth, attitude and Shepherd size is better than a yappy lap dog any day.
