handlej11 Posted May 8, 2017 Share Posted May 8, 2017 We have been told and learned that there were some bad years for Mack's such as 2004 when they introduced EGR, but they got things straightened out a year or two later for the 2006-2007 years, is this correct? We are in the logging business and run older model trucks and we are trying to move out of the 90's and into the 2000's but want to try and buy trucks in certain years that do not seem to have as many issues which years do ya'll recommend staying away from? Mackpro Posted May 8, 2017 Share Posted May 8, 2017 The 2003 in 460 HP was a pain as well. The 427 and lower HP's were great. Also as you have figured out 2004 was not good in a CX and CH.
