Mack man 1973 Posted February 21, 2017 Share Posted February 21, 2017 The question I have is my 72 R is wired positive ground so can it be plugged into a modern trailer ? If the trailer has regular sealed beam lights it should work because incadesant lights can reverse polarity . However led lights only work wired negative ground I have tried tried . Popular Post TeamsterGrrrl Posted February 21, 2017 Popular Post Share Posted February 21, 2017 Every trailer sold in the U.S. for the last couple decades has ABS, which uses hundreds of solid state devices that don't tolerate reverse voltage. Hopefully the ABS manufacturers have reverse voltage protected their products, but I'd consult with the ABS or trailer manufacturer before plugging in.
