IM trying to keep it positive ground and im having a issue what am i doing wrong the starter is isolated but the solenoid isn't were do the cables go

Pos cable goes to the end of the starter and neg cable goes to the starter lug.Starters dont care which is ground.Just wire it like that and there will be no problem.

The issue is the solenoid when i hook switch wire from series parallel up it   shorts out

???????????????? why would you be using a series  parallel switch with 12 volt???? ditch it, run some cables direct from batteries and be done

No the 12v key power that turns on series parallel the one from start button i have that on the new stater for start signal

Not sure on what you are you are trying to do. Why keep it  + ground ?  I think most were changed years ago to neg ground to slow electrolysis on  the frame body parts and etc. As mentioned above starters will go either way and you do not need the series parallel switch. The key switch should be for the charging system and misc. items.  Just wire your start button to a power source then to the starter solenoid. If you go to neg ground you will need to polarize your generator and switch a few wires. If your generator ever goes bad you will be set up for a one wire alt.  The B 81 is a neat truck how about some pictures.
