mack31 Posted October 19, 2015 Share Posted October 19, 2015 I have a 1953 L model ladder truck. It has two 12 volt batteries. I had to replace the light flasher which says 24volt on it? fxfymn Posted October 21, 2015 Share Posted October 21, 2015 I assume you replaced the old flasher because it stopped working which begs the question; are you sure it is the flasher? A bad bulb or a break in the circuit will make the lights stay on steady instead of flashing. If anything a 12v should flash very fast if it is the incorrect voltage. fxfymn Posted October 22, 2015 Share Posted October 22, 2015 You can test either flasher with a 12v test light. Wire it up with the test light taking the place of the turn lamp.
