41180 Posted July 19, 2008 Share Posted July 19, 2008 we have a superliner with a e9 500 that is using anti freeze and we cant find a leak. it also smokes or steams out of the engine breather tube some times especially right after you start it. what could cause this? head gasket or something more serious? the engine has 25000 hrs. BAD DOG Posted July 26, 2008 Share Posted July 26, 2008 Yes I did have a water filter on it, but I bought it after it sat a few years and I don't know how often the previous owners had changed it , so the damage was done before I got it.
