superliner237 Posted November 14, 2014 Share Posted November 14, 2014 For whatever reason, I've run into a bit of a road block on my e-7 v-mac 1 elect. to mech. pump swap. Anyone I've been talking to...dealer,pump shops,...etc. Seems I need numbers off of a truck with an e-7 Robert Bosch full mechanical pump from factory. Vin #from trk itself and the 040# from pump, and whatever other numbers are on the pump tag. this make any sense? anyone know more about this? any help will be greatly appreciated. superliner237 Posted November 15, 2014 Author Share Posted November 15, 2014 This is what I know. It's a 93, e-7/400 from factory with the electric setup. It was inframed at our local mack dealer in 06, guy said he put about 2500 miles on it or so before he had some serious health issues. Got parked since. was started every so often over the years until the throttle pedal was stolen. then we bought it. when it was rebuilt it was whatever level or whatever they call it with new heads, rods, pistons, liners, cam inspected and so on. I do not know what pistons for SURE are in it. They ARE round if that helps.Turbo looks fairly new also. I have the build sheet for trk. and its always been 400 hp. I would have to assume that mack rebuilt it back to stock specs. And I know the guy didn't have any thing cranked up on it, as in big injectors, turbo, etc... Don't know if any of this helps, but thats about all I know. Manders said they have what I need to do all this but they need some numbers to go by and thats my hang up right now. rsb502 Posted November 16, 2014 Share Posted November 16, 2014 Yeah don't get too into numbers on pistons and turbos etc, believe it or not that stuff can be changed for power and economy you Do Not have to use the factory numbers after its out of warranty. The pump swap requires an E7 mechanical Bosch pump set up for at minimum 400hp and the injector lines to go with it, that's it.
