james j neiweem Posted August 14, 2014 Share Posted August 14, 2014 A lot of people call them boat anchors however if you treat them right they will treat you right. Oil change, coolant change, keep the rpms down a little and downshift a little before needed. These are not torque engines but rpm engines. Just don' t go crazy on the rpm's. GreenGiant2 Posted August 17, 2014 Author Share Posted August 17, 2014 Just went to look at the truck. It has a c-7 listed at 250hp. It will take some time to get used to the 6 speed Allison but the tranny brake is nice. It has a little rust on the utility body and 2 of the floors need help but I think for all the stuff the truck has its a good deal. 3/8's and 1/2 air reel, electric reel, hydraulic hose on reel. The body has a slide in drawer under the body that runs lenght wise above the frame that could be used for shovels and stuff.
