1958 F.W.D. Posted July 24, 2014 Share Posted July 24, 2014 Had the opportunity to visit the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle, Va, yesterday. (Exit 150 of I-95.) I have to say the place is freaking AWESOME and is possibly the best museum I have ever been in. I highly recommend it to anyone who served in the USMC, or any branch of the US Military or are a Military buff or supporter. Put it on your bucket list. Admission is free and be sure to eat lunch in the recreated Tun Tavern Restaurant on the second floor (not free.) DCR Posted July 26, 2014 Share Posted July 26, 2014 Thanks for the show and tell on the museum. I was there shortly after it opened and it looks like more has been added. The air force museum at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH and also the Army helicopter museum at Ft Rucker Alabama are also very educational.
