Outbehindthebarn Posted September 27, 2013 Share Posted September 27, 2013 What exactly was the differences between the Mack motors that were coupled to 5 and 6 speed transmissions and the one's coupled to so-called multi-speed transmissions? Same pistons. different pump manufacture Robert Bosch and AMERICAN BOSCH which is the better of the two more power. So, any turbocharged mack six can become a hi RPM multi speed engine with the AMERICAN BOSCH pump and the right turbo only? boyd Posted October 4, 2013 Share Posted October 4, 2013 Mack had good engines back when we had dry liners, now that they have wet liners like most other engine manufactures they cannot keep the counterbores from leaking...
