Tire size question?

Recommended Posts

I found a calculator and had to convert some numbers and came up with this. BTW, I'm bored out of my mind.

11.00 in = 279.4 mm

I found 2 websites that list the aspect ratio of tubless tires as 98-100%

With those numbers I come up with the following:

11x22= 43.56 to 44 in.

11x24= 45.56 to 46 in.

The Michelin Man says

standard on highway tire 11R24.5 is 43.3 inches tall and 11R22.5 is 41.3 inches tall

regional highway tire is 11R24.5 is 43.8 inches tall and 11R22.5 is 41.6 inches tall

on and off road tire is 11R24.5 is 44.4 inches tall and 11R22.5 is 42.2 inches tall.

When i was looking for the answer, I found info stating that those tubless tires have an aspect ratio of 88 vs. the 98-100 on the tube tires, which would explain the lower height.
