As the topic states, if you have an e7 350 mechanical i want to know how much you are boosting under a load. The spec sheet says i should get anywhere from 24-32 psi. I am getting 28 and also have a misfire so i was wondering if anyone is getting better or worse than me and how is the response time to get full boost? it seems that it goes from 10-20 pretty quick then soo soo up to 25 then kinda shakes up till 28

So i just did some research on the e7 350 mechanical. Did you know that its almost impossible to find anything out about boost pressures and what people have accomplished online? Well, it is. Anyways, i read that a guy was getting 35 psi on his and he has also seen older e6 315s get 50!!! now i know i have a misfire and the truck is currently getting the pump rebuilt and i was getting about 28 pounds but around 20 pounds and up the guage would be shakey. I wonder if it will really do 32 or so with a proper running pump now and not to mention turned about 5 percent! what do you all think?

I want to hear more boost numbers from everyone too and engine type Thanks :)

I'd love to hear the tip turbine on a 315 with 50 psi going through it..lol

All we did was move plate in pump and put turbo on. They are OEM injectors. The turbo just has a different exhaust housing and that is it. NO modification required to put it on. We did have a 93 E7 350 that got close to 40 psi with OEM turbo. We bought all these trucks new so I know no one else has mucked with them.

I got an accurate reading today. It turns out that the pump rebuild did give me more boost and power :) Pulling a load in 7th gear (the gear just before overdrive) i get 25psi by 1250 then 27 by 1400 then 30 by 1600 and then 31 by 1700 and it just about reaches 32 by 1800 but not quite :)

The specs for the motor and turbo are 350 hp by 1800 rpm and the boost should be anywhere between 24-32 psi. So if 32psi is max and i get 31 by 1700 what kinda horsepower do you think im making??? I was also keeping right up with a nice looking 460 today. Maybe he has the AI electronic program or i dont know but it feels like my truck is quicker than before
