Just Bought A "b" Model

Gus

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon everyone, my name is Gus, I live in Minnesota, and I just brought home a 1964 "B" model. It is currently a dump truck, but that will change this winter. I plan to restore it to a tractor. Back during the sixties, I operated nine "B" models, and a couple of "H" models, so have always been looking for one in decent shape to restore. Finally found what I was looking for in a barn in North central Minnesota. It fired right up once we installed a fresh battery, but the tires were so old and weather checked that I went back with the lowboy trailer and hauled her home.

As much as I have been around trucks, I will still be seeking some answers. So thanks in advance. :SMOKIE-RT:

:WELCOME: to BMT Gus glad your here

sounds like a cool project for those cold winter days just to get out of house & into the shop to prevent "Cabin Fever" ;)

1 thing i like bout an ole B Model is ya can find them sitting somewhere for long periods of time & either put batterys on them or pull start em & most the time ya hear BROOOM Ya know the ole :bulldog3: has came back to life blowing smoke out the pipe :SMOKIE-LFT:B)

You Cant Fix Stupid. But You Can Numb It With A Sledgehammer. :loldude:

My truck sat for 10 years, all i had to do was unstick the fuel rack and we pulled it and she fired right up and ran without a hesitation or anything. I threw some batterys in it and now it fires right up on the starter with nothing electrical or mechanical touched
