b61mack Posted June 11, 2012 Share Posted June 11, 2012 hey guys i have a 350 big cam cummins with a cummins pt fuel system. i was wondering how to turn the pump up so i can have more fuel going to the engine.thanks Its not as easy as turning a screw, there is a button under a cover at the bottom of the fuel pump that has numbers, there are shims in there too for the max RPM. i think the lower the number the more fuel, and in the throttle shaft there are shims you can add to increase fuel pressure. you would be better off to leave it alone in my opinion. Theakerstwo does a cummins have a thing like a puff limiter on a Mack, it seems i saw a little 1/4" line coming from the intake manifold on a 78 350 big cam.
