New guy here, my name is Kyle Gibson from Montgomery County PA, Currently a high school student who's been around trucks and heavy equipment my whole life. I plan on attending Penn College of Technology or WyoTech to become a diesel mechanic once I graduate. At my work we have 2 Mack dumps, a 89 DM E6 6 speed, 58K rears 17'6" R/S steel tub body, and a 99 DM E7 6 speed, 50K rears with an 18' R/S steel tub body (we are currently building this truck)

Some pics of the trucks: the 89 IMAG0034.jpg?t=1304823125 The 99 in the beginning stages IMAG0139.jpg?t=1304823173IMAG0141.jpg?t=1304823172IMAG0133.jpg?t=1304823173

:WELCOME:

On the job training is great. Learn more from real life "stuff" than many books can provide.

It's great to hear you want to learn the trade. Being young, you already have alot of computer knowledge.

Many old timer wrench turners can't get their head around it.

Success is only a stones throw away.................................................................for a Palestinian

I could've sworn Mack had some kind of job placement program with East Penn College, but I haven't been able to find any information on it. In any case, I've found the best way to avoid strange looks is to only scream profanities when it's quite obvious that you've busted your knuckles! Best of luck to you.

been a while since i posted on here, figured its time for an update. the 99's all done and running down the road with an empty weight of 27,500, less than a 1/4 tank of fuel. not to terrible considering the 89's rolling in at 29,200 1/2 tank of fuel. Hopefully we can try and shave a few pounds off the 89 and get it under the 29K empty weight......

Thanks Guys,

Kyle
